AMD has made available a fresh beta build of the Catalyst 13.11 graphics driver. This latest release is the Beta 9.2 and it brings improved anti-aliasing performance in Call of Duty: Ghost (and an updated CrossFire profile for the game), a PowerTune tweak to 'reduce variance of fan speed / RPM' on Radeon R9 290 Series cards, plus fixes for crashing bugs seen in legacy DirectX 9 applications.

The Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 is available for Windows 8.1/8/7 and features support for the Radeon R9, R7, HD 7000, HD 6000 and HD 5000 Series cards.

can anyone confirm crossfire is now working on cod ghosts

I cannot but have you tried creating your own crossfire profile using CCC and alternate frame rendering or Optimize 1x1? I find you can create working profiles for pretty much any game out there.

never tried any of that, looks far to complicated:D

i will give the new drivers a go when i get home tonight, oddly enough msi afterburner osd did not work on cod

Its easy.

1. Open up CCC
2. Navigate to the gaming>3d application settings
3. Click add, navigate to the game exe file you want to add (bf4 in this case)
4. Choose your image quality settings or leave at default.
5. Scroll down. Select crossfire mode as AFR or Optimize 1x1.
6. You can try both to see if one works better than the other.
7. Enable or disable frame pacing.
8. Click save.
9. Play.

You can also change the pre-set profile a game uses. For example you can make BF4 use BF3's crossfire profile etc. This is a must know tip if you use crossfire. :)

Ah thanks for that bud, should I uninstall the oldest separate CAP that's currently installed then?

You don't need caps any more broom they're included in the beta.

After reading the comments over at Guru3D's forums these look like a bad driver. BF4 problems is going to be a patch fix and nothing AMD can fix with a driver. Im reading vsync problems and crossfire problems over there with Beta 9.2's although there is the usual 'user error' so just to be safe im gona skip this driver considering BF4 runs fine for me on a decent server. Had a few hours last night and only problems i ran into was rubberbanding on a couple of maps.

Install these at ur own risk ;)

Which thread you reading, I've posted over there my self?

BF4 is fine with V Sync provided you disable Frame Pacing and disable CPU Core Parking before starting the game. If a PC is a gaming rig core parking looks like it should be permanently disabled anyway. Frostbite 3 currently isn't playing nice with Frame Pacing for some reason and EA need to patch it.

What im trying to say is unless u have a 290/x and need the new fan profile i think its pointless to update..

Feature Highlights of The AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 Driver for Windows

Call of Duty®: Ghost - Improves anti-aliasing performance, and updates the AMD CrossFire™ profile
AMD Radeon™ R9 290 Series - PowerTune update to reduce variance of fan speed / RPM
Resolves intermittent crashes seen in legacy DirectX 9 applications
