Im confused 18 watchers and auction ends with no bids?

as a seller, the auction fee is linked to start price. a lot of shops gets around this by slapping a huge shipping fee on top. this almost acts like a reserve but wittout being charge higher listing cost. (i havent sold anything on ebay for some time, so i cant say for sure this is still doable.)

Not any more, the final value fee now includes postage

As I almost exclusively sell with Buy It Now listings I've always included the postage in the asking price anyway. I'm sure it makes a lot of potential buyers think they're getting a good deal with free postage :D

That was limited by Ebay a while back to be honest, but it does depend on the product category you put it item into. Different ones, have different limits.
ah, ok. i need to update myself. wife bought so many shoes recently, some time she forgot to return them in time.... so i will be selling women shoes .

sounds like a good tactic to use. :D

i watch things all the time even though i have no intention of buying. if something catches my eye i watch it to see the outcome.
what i tend to do is, if i want something that appears on ebay all the time, i just watch loads of them may be 3 weeks iin advance to when i actually want it. so i save all the ended prices as a research as to how much i should pay and who are the major players around. :D

Maybe offer to post it next time.

And maybe it sounds a bit dodgy to meet someone down the docks for the trade.

lol

Where in N Ireland do you live. Collection obviously killed it.

I always find it weird how people who don't live in a city put collection only and see their item sell for next to nothing.

I also watch items with high reserves so I can bid when it gets relisted or sent to a proper auction.

This, posting large items or arranging a courier is quite easy and cost effective on expensive stuff.

To be honest I don't think it's worth that. I've been following Hiwatt amps for ages and I'd say about £900-1000 is the best you'll get at this moment in time.

Just look at completed listings! Does exactly what you are doing but in one. Rather than having to constantly watch items over weeks you just click and view the price items sold for over months...
