Miffed at Youtube.

For those who cant reply to a comment, I think its because the people you want to reply to have no g+ account so apparently your comment cant go anywhere or something like that.

Youtube appear to be trying to cut the amount of spam comments but at the same time are now allowing links (youtube only i think) and also unlimited comment lengths too by the look.

It is crap.

they could sort it though by changing a few things

1. Have top comments show at top but also new comments at the bottom, like it used too

2. have a collapse comment button at the top of the comment.

3. not auto tick "share with google+" button when commenting.
 
Yeah, I've just tried to enter a comment on a vid. Thought it was the batteries in my keyboard that have gone flat, until I fired up Notepad and I could type ok in there!! Then I came back to this thread and see others have this problem too.
 
Comments on YouTube have sucked for a long, long time.

I hate the way replies become separated from the parent posts. You have to endlessly click 'view parent post' to get the gist of the conversation.

It's just completely hopeless and needs a total redesign.
 
The banner and profile picture, and the thumbnails of the videos on the main homepage gets soooooo pixelated. I don't understand why the need for it, I understand lowering the file size, but they do it way too much where the image looks shockingly bad.

Not being able to reply to comments on your videos is very bad too.

Why does it have to be linked to a G+ account?

This is the first time I have actually hated what Google have done. It is just rubbish.
 
I've just gone onto Youtube, logged into my account and when that box asking if I want to use my G+ handle on Youtube pops up I click "No, I don't want to use my real name" and then it just hangs with this.

I don't know if something is broken, or whether people are just commenting less, but I have seen several vids today on large channels that have zero comments. These are channels that would normally have hundreds of comments within minutes.

Due to the new changes a lot of people won't be able to comment at all.

I don't like the new changes, Google again forcing us to adopt G+
 
Google+ have very much broken youtube. It was fine, they didn't have to mess with it. I don't like it now, the Youtube app on Apple is fuzzled, crashes on every video, comments take ip the whole screen.

Pointless! If twitch tv are switched on the could do well here.

I'm starting to see one big positive on this, really makes the whole thing worthwhile actually....








.....just discovered Daily Motion, its like what YouTube was years ago and the player works a lot better!
Gonna take a while to move all my gods over though.
 
I think it's a good idea, there are loads of racist comments on youtube. By making it less anonymous it might encourage people to stop being nobs.
 
This is so broken! I'm not allowed to comment on videos unless I update my account. I'm now getting Japanese adverts.

Others have noticed that they can not reply to some people because they are not friends on Google+

Comments can now be a page long of spam.
