Miffed at Youtube.

What happened to the 'show all suggested recommended channels'? I only have a few subscriptions, but a variety of places that I cherry-pick without being subscribed to. Now there's only 10 related channels in the list.

I really hate all of this messing about. Asking me to choose a name to post a comment (what? Other than my youtube name?) You get an 'either / or' screen and not much of a hint as to what will happen if you choose yes or no.... It's like the ******* Stanley Parable.

Of all the places on the internet I visit regularly, youtube is the only one that has such a broad spectrum of interesting thing to see (great USER CONTENT), yet makes me rage at its repeatedly irritating hoops it deems imperative to make its users jump through; The best thing about youtube is the people on it, not the site itself. Nothing about youtube as a website makes me want to go there because of its functionality, look or website architecture. The only thing good about it is the creativity of the people who post their videos and that is the only thing worthwhile about it - no amount of website tinkering is going to change that.
Google! I sent you email about this **** the last time you asked for 'feedback' regarding account linking etc, stop it. Stop it now.

Well their goes my big idea to move over to DailyMotion, NONE of my remixes will be able to play as they have NO music copyrights.

The more info google have on you the better they can target adverts at you. Link all your google services together in one account gives them a lot more of that info they want.

I'm currently reading The Circle by Dave Eggers, which basically addresses this as an issue head on. I'd definitely recommend it.

I don't know if i'm getting old or something and losing my touch with technology but i just can't my head round the new youtube with all its google+ nonesense. Am I the only one?

It use to be so simple you had an inbox which you could check to see if someone has replied to your comments. Now that gone and I can't work out the new google+ system and don't really want to waste time trying to.

And check out the googles promotional video for this new comments system.

Typical facebook crap trying to make it look cool and useful though judging by the comments section people aren't having it. Reminds me of microsofts attempts to try and convince people xboxone DRM and windows 8 is what we all want.

And an online petition has started to change back to the old system. 60,000 signatures and another 13,000 needed. Someone has had there google accoutn suspened for promoting the the petition.

Google is forcing us to make google+ accounts and invading our social life to comment on a youtube video and trying to take away our anonymous profile. They are also trying to censor us unless we share the same worldview as they do.

New information has been brought to me by one of the supporters of this petition that their account was suspened by google for telling people about this petiton. Just another reason to sign this petiton.

If you want to spread this petiton around Youtube, make sure to do it on a seperate account because others have told me people have been suspended for shareing this petiton with others.

No problem with it. Would rather see genuine comments to YouTube videos than thousands upon thousands of racist, homophobic and pathetic insults from cowards who hide behind on online name.

Don't like it, don't use YouTube :)

The very thing that made youtube, freedom of speech, is the very thing they are now trying shut down.

We all know Youtube has been a major problem for the establishment with total free speech and now they want to limit it. They will probably only shut themselves down.
