Blizzcon 2013

they only lost 100k subs between Q2 and Q3, from 7.7 million to 7.6 million if anything from what ive seen this expansion may increase subs.

Im really excited to see more of whats to come

I just hope the player housing isn't going to be really shallow, like after a month everybody in the game will have practically the exact same looking garrison and after a patch or two (or reaching a certain point with gear / personal gold / professions) it becomes an irrelevance.

Something like player housing should be as big a part of your character as your chosen class / gear / appearance. I want it to feel unique. I want the ability to be able to impress people with how I've set mine up, and how much time I've put into it.

I wasn't really interested in this next expansion but I'm actually pretty impressed with what im hearing in this thread!

Finally it seems Blizzard has woken up to all the problems with this game!

im assuming its all phased like the tillers farm so the only people who will see it will be in your party.

Tillers farm was valid for the full expansion due to the items you could farm but once you built it it was reallm the same.

With garrisons i expect once you have unlocked it all the only difference for different people will be when you switch out buildings to something else or hire new followers etc

Wow really? You know that lol is just a kids dumbed down version of dota that was a wc3 mod right? The only reason it is so big is because of how easy it is for casuals to pick up and play.

I would much rather see good companies like valve and blizzard make a good moba (valve already have, dota2 is brilliant).

You kind of lost your argument when you slandered LoL tbh, but hey ho!

The new Blizz moba looks interesting but it seems their going for all out variety than a very refined playing experience and tbh it looks like something that will get ported to the next gen (it might not but from looks it seems suited)

Im sure people from LoL and DOTA will give it a go, but I very much doubt this will force people to switch, just like the new EA one wont either.

The WoW expac just sounds like they are completely out of ideas. Wont be returning, not after the abortion that was Pandacashinland, I ditched that not long after the 2nd raid became available. Heres hoping a new MMO pops up :S

Still a little confused, they keep saying that there's no time travel involved yet it'll be a Draenor pre-explosion to the Outland, how so?

Q How is this time travel going to work with the story?
A We aren't going back in time, the Dark Portal is turning red, bad guys are coming through. We look at the Orc Clans as they were, but things are happening now. The end of this expansion will launch the next one.

Q Will we have two of characters due to the time travel?
A No, this isn't a time travel or paradox story, it is about going to Draenor.

Q Is there a chance of looking at alternative realities based on what we change by going back in time?
A Yes, it will give us that opportunity. It affects our current timeline, but does not affect the past.

My logic hurts! So it's an alternate reality that happens to show their exact past, that can't be changed but then can be changed which alters the future of said alternate reality, which is the same as where you came from. *scratches head*

As far as I can tell Garosh travels back in time and stops the Orcs becoming corrupted, making them into a new version of the Horde. This massive change to the timeline basically splits reality, creating an alternate timeline. So whatever they do wont affect the timeline the main game is in.

EDIT: And the new red Dark Portal is connected to that alternate world timeline. So this allows the "new" Orcs to invade the Azeroth of the present.
