AMD Rolls Out Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 Driver

Its disabling one of my cards completely.. I am running 7950 / 7970 and its just showing the cards as disabled. When I roll back to v8 there is now issues.. le sigh amd.

I've got to say the AMD drivers look far more polished and comprehensive now than they did when I got my 7970 at launch.

So far the experience has been wonderful, unlike last time which was just a nightmare.

Uninstalled all the old drivers and CAP, fresh install with just these drivers. HD 7850 2GB running spot on. Tried COD Ghosts on 46" 1080P, used those settings for multi AA that Almighty15 was talking about. Even though it's a low res (1080P TV) over such a large screen hardly any jaggies to be seen. The game looks ace, very impressed with how the 7850 handles 1080P.

HTPC in the lounge, it's more for the kids, watch movies play some Steam games etc. Hadn't update the drivers in a looong time. Amazing lil card that.

hmmmm....might try them as updating to v8; gave me a few issues with 7870 Ti; like falling through geomitry; but that also could be the game LOL>...

I hope it fixes more problems than it creates cus the beta8 drivers were horrendous for me. artifacts all over the place in bf4 etc. Thought the memory was knackered but pretty sure its just crappy drivers as had no issues at all with beta 7

Guys are these the best drivers to go for at the mo, safest on clocking/performance?

Got a 290pro inbound in 45min and have removed my old card (downgraded my 7950 to a nvidia 460), drivers removed, registry cleaned, and just waiting for the delivery man....

Anything else I missed, I've been away far too long...

I use Raptr. There i said it.

I Started using this aswell in the last week or two, seems pretty cool (apart from not tracking my Diablo 3 progress :-/) , havnt used any of the optmization settings yet - all my games are apparently at a higher than recommended setting - not sure if it picks up crossfire properly, part of what I like about it is I can be on my pc - say steam and have raptr opened and chat to some 360 friends, pretty handy

Yes - you need the 13.11 betas for R9 290's.

Thx for that and after all that prep work/anticipation the card turn up with dual dvi-d's and I needed a dvi-i as i run anologue crt with bnc...

Well lesson learned must check connections on all future cards

290's don't support analogue video - 290x doesnt so I presume 290 doesnt either.

You might need to go via some adaptor - possibly a powered one - like an active dp-dvi adaptor. I've seen people talking about them recently on here but didnt pay attention since I'm on digital only.

This removal of legacy interfaces will only get more widespread.
