OK, so I'm sure this will come across as a pretty silly question - but I have the above motherboard and a Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 750w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply.

I can see on the motherboard that there's an ATX connector and there are two other ATX connectors 1) ATX_12V - 4 pin and 2) ATX_24V_2x4.

I have one cable that came with the PSU which looks like the normal ATX connector, but on one side it 4 of the pins are separate from the other 20 - is this just to support mobos with 20 pins? As this has a 24 pin ATX connector, I'm assuming I just put the 20 and 4 together and plug it straight in the mobo?

Which of the other connectors am I supposed to connect - the cable which has ATX-12V (4 pins) or ATX_24V (8 pins). Again one of the cables I have has a block of 8 on one side and two blocks of four separated on the other.

The manual is as clear as mud :(.

Yes, the 20+4 is for backwards compatibility with 20-pin boards. Just align the 20-pin and 4-pin then plug it into the 24-pin socket.

I'm fairly sure you should only need to plug the 8-pin cable in for CPU power (leaving the 4-pin socket empty), if I'm wrong someone please correct me.
