Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9 - 10th November 2013]

It was not a good match. Little quality from either side, although I thought we defended well. I think the lineup was rather negative, realistically only Kagawa/Evra could have been expected to create something. Kagawa however was poor and im unsure what he has done to be selected over Nani or Adnan.
However I did think Smalling had a good game. His passing is appalling but he will be a top defender. Jones also did well.

Thing is, players claiming for it doesn't mean anything, if a ref see's a handball he doesn't ignore it unless players ask for it, that is absurd. I think that it's going towards goal is what would make it maybe worth a penalty IF that was a handball. Harsh on the player as he really couldn't see it coming around the stoke player I'd think.

Yeah but multiple players seeing an incident from multiple angles is generally more reliable than a single referee, if nobody claims then it usually means that nobody saw anything wrong as they will claim for anything nowadays.

You know Man Utd - Arsenal was a poor games when MotD spends this much time on mid-air collisions and banged heads.

Hang on, for weeks we have been getting Moyes hate for not playing him. Perhaps it's been justified?

The issue is he's been played out on the left where he is yes, ineffective. He's not a winger, he's a number 10 and has a fantastic input on the game when he's in there.

MOTD weighed those highlights insanely heavily to Arsenal.

he's resting and will play in our next league game i should imagine. gomes was on the bench.

AVB was asked if lloris said he wanted to play and he said 'no comment'.

I saw, he seemed very defensive. I just saw his interview with Sky and he was a bit of a **** in that too, when responding to Pardew claiming the EL game in midweek wouldn't have helped.
