Hi all,

Again getting round to sorting pictures from my trip to Japan.

I stumbled across this place. Super Auto Bacs. I believe there are normal "Auto Bacs" which are in essence like our Halfords but very Japanese and stocking lots of tuning parts, tyres, wheels, exhausts etc.

This one was a "Super" Auto Bacs so was pretty massive it has to be said. There were a lot of nice cars in the car parks, some nice cars being worked on in the service area and an awful lot of awesome parts in the shop.

The selection of parts was literally most things you would buy for your car. Exhausts, suspension, body kits, brakes, interiors, wheels, wraps - all sorts! Really amazing to see such a wide selection!

A selection of pictures are below, but the full album can be found here:

Why a Legacy meeting and not an Impreza one? Because their Legacys are everywhere! And a lot of them are modified, I saw more of them than I did Imprezas!

And finally the absolute star of the show for me:

Tommy Kaira R34 Nissan Skyline GTR!

Thanks for looking!

Oh my lord, that Tommy Kaira Skyline!!! :o

Laughed at the TK Micra too, that was cool as ****. Kept seeing stuff on the shelves in ther that I've been lusting after... deep dish Nardi wheel, dat Bride Lo-Max that I'd never be able to fit into...

I'd love a shop like locally that just to drool at the Work wheels etc.

Someone needs to bring this to the UK properly.

The Yen rate is not what it was back then dude, not even close. Plenty of places exist that ship parts worldwide though but it is far from cheap.

Feels a bit like I died and went to heaven.

Imagine how I felt when I was there! I saw the big sign when I was on the train, went back a stop, got off and walked around until I found it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I stepped on the car park. JDM porn everywhere!

Awesome!

White skyline is a monster truck needs lowering :p

No! Standard R34 GTR is a rare and beautiful beast!

I love how apparently mainstream car modification is in Japan.

You're not wrong there. Most shopping centres will have car accessories and minor modifications and when you have places like Super Auto Bacs.. well you can see how easy it would be to modify :D

Awesome.

So this is where all those overnight parts from Japan come from? :D

It's where some of my overnight parts came from ;)

that r34.

i made a mess.

I was very lucky to see that there. When I first arrived they were cleaning it up, when I went back they were all done and it sat there looking so.. powerful. Never thought I would actually see a TK variant of any car!

Definite sex wee occurred over the r34, I still love them, a colleague bought one brand new back in the day and I've hankered after one ever since, similar to my nsx addiction!
