Hi Folks,

Sorry for the cryptic title but I'm still only on my first coffee of the day.

I'm currently running a Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 with a BENQ 120hz monitor on a DVI-D connector.

What i want to know is the best way to allow me to use dual monitors without sacrificing the 120hz.

Thanks

H

I have that card, i believe it has 2 mini display ports, i use one monitor on DVI-D and one on mini DP to DP.

You'll need an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter. They have 2 cables, one being USB for the extra power. They aren't cheap tho:

However, some 120hz displays also support 120hz/144hz via DisplayPort so as above you could just use that connection.

Blimey they're a bit pricey Oo.

Ok what if ran just one monitor at 60hz. does that make it any easier.

based on whats been said (hardware permitting) can i use one of the DP2.1 connectors to run 120hz to my monitor - thus freeing up the dvi port?
