Was lookign at one of these to replace my current low profile heatsink in my current mini case set up.

Though I have not used one of these bfore am I right in thinking that the radiator just is bolted into the same space used by a regular 120mm fan with the fan on the inner side?

Do these generally have mess noise over a regular heatsink and fan?

Im not over clocking on a AM3 or anything, and am really looking for a way to make it that bit less noisy,

It'll be as loud as the fan you use, and how fast you run it.

But on the whole, it should have much more cooling potential than a low profile heatsink, and a much bigger surface area, so you shouldn't need to run the fan very fast to get decent cooling.

And yes, it just bolts to where your 120mm fan slot is. Be warned though that the radiator isn't square, it's larger than a 120mm fan at the top and bottom (where the pipes go) so make sure you have enough space around your fan slot to fit it.

So but you are removing the traditional Heatsink Fan to technically the 120mm fan with the radiator behind it does the same work as passive cooling the case as well the the CPU right?
I might not have enough space by the sounds of it though. :(

Looking at that one it seems the top/ bottom have the thinkness, can they be used on their sides, or do the pips HAVE to be at the bottom?

I have the 620, first thing I did was swap out the stock fan for two much better one's, then its nice and silent. performs pretty good too (68c @ 4.6ghz in winter)
