No bud. The 780Ti is faster than the 290X (as shown in the original post with all those TechPowerup bench results).

I wouldn't worry though, as your 290X is a stonking card and nearly beats my Tomb Raider bench I am pretty sure with maturer drivers, you will leave me standing

Pay no heed to the benchmarks brother, your 290X performs fantastically and that is all that matters.

I love my 290X and won't be changing, the 780Ti does look a fantastic card though.

I'm happy enough to just get my 290X underwater and clock the crap out of it

Water does help. As you can see from my screenie, temps of 42c make overclocking easier
