Good evening,

I'm building a PC for a friend who wants to spend around £300-350 to build a PC which is used primarily for video editing / browsing.

He already has a case, monitor, peripherals, hard drive, optical drive and OS.

What's the best he can get for his money (cpu, mobo, gfx card, ram, PSU).

Thanks in advance!

thanks for responding.

Is there any reason why you chose a micro ATX board? I believe his current case is fine for normal ATX?

Also - would you say getting 8gb of ram for a tiny bit more was worthwhile?

Another option is an apu build which would allow for overclocking and decent gpu performance

It's an option and a viable one, if budget is the driving factor. If you want to spend as little as possible then an APU build is hard to beat for everyday stuff. Performance wise though, no APU will touch the i5 / gpu combination above. It all depends on his friend's priorities.
