I had an idea a while ago which i'm trying to get off the ground. I'm trying to get together a community of gamers in and around the Armed Forces. Whether you are friends with or currently serving or you are a dependent of somebody serving. I know there are a lot of casual or hardcore gamers in the Armed Forces community (I'm one of them) and i'm trying to shake off the stigma that it is only geeks who game.

My hope is to set up events and competitions with prizes and giveaways if i can get it off the ground.

So if you fall into this category and want to know more. Please post and get involved.

It's already a marginalised area of interest so limiting the focus to only army bods just reduces your available pool.

I understand its not going to be a massive following, but if i can get 50-100 people interested who understand and have access to resources in and around the armed forces community such as buildings and transport and branch out from there. Its a place to start. I'm just trying to work with what I know.

sounds like a cool idea, but I don't have any knowledge of the armed forces nor do I know anyone who does

I'm interested, i am a serious gamer i left the Navy and RAF Regiment 3 weeks ago due to compassionate issues.

But my dad is RN Serving and my brother is Army Severing and im sure he will be interested when hes home as he also is a huge gamer

I am pretty sure there is a lan gaming forces community already, I remember them advertising it on BFBS about 4 weeks ago. Have an ask on e-goat and see if anybody knows.

Project reality dev's, i think they are based @ army barracks somewhere in england. Nice guys but unfortunately they are noobs.
