290/X or 7990

I got a feeling he's looking at the 290x beating a gtx780ti and having over 60fps average. Add mantle on and a decent overclock and it should be well over 80 fps average.

That's interesting the 290X has different scores in each of those graphs. Hmm. The first one is more recent.

That's interesting, i guess in this there 290x was throttling as the 780ti scores the same but the 290x has gained around 15% making it faster than the ti.

Sometimes you need a change, even if it is a downgrade/sidegrade etc. Sometimes you need a new toy to play with.

Something's not right on that graph,

I average well over 100fps on all BF4 maps bar Paracel storm, but even that can be over a hundred depending on what i'm doing.

I can't see going from 1920*1080 to 2560*1440P making me lose over 40fps.

When i had that 1440p DGM monitor a few weeks ago i tried a few games on there, including BF3 and didn't suffer such a loss in Fps...unless i'm missing something?

Regardless, i really do hope you got the 290/X, i'm not putting the 7990 down, it's an utterly brilliant card and i think if you didn't have those 7950's id be suggesting get one.

I just think a 290X would cure your itch for longer than a 7990 would.

Haha well whatever i did get it will get compared to 7950 crossfire stock and overclocked. I've done a ton of benchmarks and posted them all over the gpu section so whichever card i do get will get a thorough comparison vs my soon to be old setup. I'm now about to fire up some BF4 as a farewell to my 7950's which have served me well.

The 290X CF figure is not even close to what it should be, @1600p maxed out I was getting 107fps for two 290Xs

You don't think a 77% increase in pixels to display would cause a 40fps drop?

Its either a 290X or a 780TI, i would be surprised if its a 780TI as i think the Lt wants to play with Mantle.

That was in BF3 according to your previous post so isn't really comparable. I don't know if those graphs are accurate. To be honest I think all the figures are undercooked.

I'll be getting another 1440p monitor after Christmas, i'll give it a good test.

I agree though, those figures in the graph look very off to me.
