advice for build

i'm in the process of buying all the bits for my first ever build. however, the thought of it all arriving and then having to put it together is worrying me a little. as there appears to be no manual for this sort of thing. so could anyone direct me 'anywhere' to read up on what to do. or will the instructions provided with each component lead me through?

It's a lot easier than people think. Things will only fit where they're meant to! Best tip is don't force anything. RAM and GPU's might take a little pressure but CPU especially will just drop in. The only tricky thing is the CPU cooler. Sometimes they can be fiddly but they come with instructions.

The mobo will be labeled for all the front of case connections.

Just make sure your HDD and SSD (if you're getting one) is in the fastest SATA slot to get the best out of them.

should have mentioned there is a video on youtube from Newegg which covers everything. Just have a search for it and I'm sure you'll find it.

what happens when you have assembled everything, do you just then switch on and put the OS disc in and load up? how do you ensure everything is running opitmally?

Yeah hit the power button then you need to boot from CD drive. Follow the instruction on the screen to install onto your chosen HDD/SSD. Once done, restart and enter the boot menu. Change the first boot device to your chosen HDD/SSD and there you go. Once you're up and running you can get a few different software to monitor your system. OCCT and HWmonitor are good ones.

No worries fella. I should have linked Tiny Tom Logans recent EPIC 4 HOUR live stream of him doing his TNR (the Nurburg rig) build from parts all the way to installing the OS and overclocking ;)
