These are an alternative way to deliver nicotine for those who are addicted to it from years of smoking. I see the government propaganda and gutter tabloids is educating consumers again. They should not fall under tobacco laws.

Some e cigs do look just like normal cigarettes though apart from they normally have a blue tip or some other colour to differentiate.

TBF you're is in the <1% category :D Most regular vapists use eGo or cig-a-likes.

Because they don't give off smoke. Its fairly simple. No ones forcing you outside and no ones saying you can't use vapours either so im not sure where you high horse stance comes from

It's somewhere in the middle. Just had a quick look. It seems to be 1.3 million in this country which makes it roughly 10 to 1.

Sure they might not look like cigarettes but you can still see the likeness when someone is holding it like a cigarette and puffing on it incessantly.

By not restricting there use in public, regardless of a lack of health concern, we risk normalizing this image of using eCigarettes, when really it should only be seen as a safer of two evils for people with an outstanding nicotine addiction.

I'm all for greater regulation on there use, and especially restriction on advertising and on all these paraphernalia shops I see popping up everywhere.

The vapor given off (although it's exponentially less than smoke) is still partially toxic & carcinogenic and thus still harmful(however minute an amount) to others.

edit: at the end of the day I'm in favor of bringing back the snug in bars albeit with better ventilation and a proper separation form the rest of the pub as at the end of the day anyone entering a Snug is consciously making the choice of entering a comfortable if "Unsafe" environment to wet their whistle!

I would like to bring everyones attention to this argument. This is one of the most commonly repeated arguments all over by people lobbying for regulation its the same old tireing tripe. Unfortunately due to a lot of ignorance in the general public they do not understand more regulation will destroy the creative industry and push a lot of vapors back to smoking as with high regulation they will be left with crappy medicalised alternatives produced by big corps who have the money to afford the liscenses needed.

DONT FIX SOMETHING THATS NOT BROKEN comes to mind.
