Hello all
I have max £500 willing to spend on a single card, I rather it be lower but that's my max.

So far my choices are
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce 3x OC Rev2.0 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N780OC-3GD) - 383.99
or the r9
MSI Radeon R9 290X "BF4 Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
which is 470

so the r9 is at the top end of my budget

my use will be playing league of legends, sc2 and also streaming these games.
I also enjoy playing stuff like BF4 and other FPS games but my main focus is playing league of legends and streaming it.

my computer specs are
i52500k 3.30 sandybridge
Gigabyte z68ap-d3 intel z68 board
kingstone hyperx genesis 8gig ram
MSI geforce gtx570
Corsair 650D case Corsair
Corsair Enthusiast tx 650 v2 powersupply

thanks
Pete

Have you seen the R9 290 (non X) performance numbers vs the 780 and the 290X?

It's £310 and performs well.

don't think I have mate, I been looking at only the r9 290, but imo the specs didn't look much diff.

the
Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card would be better choice then 780? or a case of only a little bit

tbh I think the 780 might be better then r9 due to its heat I have read about and the sound it gives off.

the 780 I picked looks good in spec but welcome to anymore views

Cant go wrong with the Gigabyte and the great cooler on it, it is also the cheapest I see.

The weekly offers change tomorrow too.

The heat output isn't actually higher, it's just that the core runs hotter. There's quite a difference in core temperature and heat output.

The 290 is better with regards to sound than the 290X though.
