OCUK refund on graphics card ?

Hi, wasn't sure where to post this but seeing as it's a graphics card I've returned i posted it here.

Does anyone know how long it takes for OC to give a refund after UPS has returned the item to them ? The faulty gfx card I sent back arrived with them today and I got an email from them confirming receipt but there was also some text about DSR (distant selling refund) taking 5-7 days to apply a refund... That seems like an awfully long time to give me my money back ? I've no idea if my order is DSR or not, is that different to a normal refund of just the standard terms for all refunds ?

I would give them a call to ask but I'm stuck at work until late this evening so figured I'd ask here.

If you returned it as faulty then it'll need to be tested before your refund is issued so you're looking at a couple of days at least.
 
Thanks for the response, I'm not having problems as they only just recieved the graphics card back an hour ago... was just a bit surprised/dissapointed to see them state it takes 5-7 days to issue the refund. Can't afford a replacement until they give me the refund, was hoping it woud be like amazon or most places where you can get a refund within a day or two.

You will probably get it sooner.

We'd rather work on tell the customer it will take so many days, but then do it in less time and everyone is happy.

If we say they will be done within 48hrs and you expect that and we don't deliver, that would leave a very bad taste.

As mentioned, post in CS section they might be able to speed it up for you. :)
 
Mine took about 3 days to test as faulty and then they always say 5-7 days for return of the cash to the card, but it is usually faster. It is all about setting expectations with the customer
