How would my rig handle battlefield 4?
What upgrades should I look at, are most ppl using 3 monitors now
Cheers

3 monitors isn't main stream yet, most people will be using a single 1080p monitor.

The 480 isn't much of an upgrade, with under 2GB of VRAM, you may hit a wall..

The CPU is decent, though overclockiing it would give you much better performance..

Are you looking at upgrading your rig, if so, how much do you have to spend on it?

I'd love to upgrade, but no funds at the mo. But will be keepin an eye on the oc advent calendar. Just in case there are some bargains.
What should be on my list

AMD's the better choice for BF4. They've also got the better performance for money for basically anything under the GTX 780.

Cant give price checks outside of MM.

Maybe another 4GB of RAM would help.. I wouldn't stress over it though.. I'd go for the GPU first.

How about going for a sli set-up my psu can more than handle it and looks like they can be picked up for about £60

You could,

What is your PSU?

480's do get hot though so you may even need to downclock them..

You may get good FPS on the SLI setup but in the long term a single hard solution will be better.

I wouldn't go with 2x480s - dated cards, limited VRAM, lots of power use for the performance. And with your CPU getting on a bit too, it's not perfect for BF4.

Unfortunately I have to work to a very limited budget, which means working with what I've got to get the best I can for very little
