This thread has been fun. Had a mate called Tom at Uni who actually chased the chubbies. Amazing what he trawled up and brought home sometimes. Memories flooding back

The worst thing a women can ever be is quiet as it just means they are plotting your demise in painstaking detail. If she was sending 'i hate you' txts or 'ok i understand' type of thing then fine, but silence, dear god be afraid, be very afraid...

Time to sell all your possessions, say goodbye to any loved ones and wish them well in their future endeavours. Plastic surgery should seriously be considered and its time to relocate. Don't waste any time, you'll need all the head start you can get.
 
I really don't see the difference in dumping someone by text, email, face to face or over the phone... the message is still the same.

I honestly don't think I have done anything wrong, as I keep saying I've been stupid but that's it and the manner in which I've ended things leaves no room for any misunderstandings... I don't think I was harsh, she asked me to be truthful and I was in the nicest possible way.

On a side note, still no contact but I had to go the shop before to get some milk and was half expecting her to be sat outside my house in her car or something after reading all the GD users response :)
 
Why are people saying he dumped her by text?

In my eyes it was a one night stand where she got clingy... That is completely different to two people going out with each other. If that was the case then i'd assume quite a few people are rocking polygamous relationships without even knowing it.
 
It's only one person saying that and he's probably sore about being chucked in a similar fashion.

Dumping by text is fine.

Most people don't have such entertaining "I banged a fattie once" stories. Well played.

Boar, a cheap shot from you, really?
(apart from the fact that most of my dating was pre-mobile phone :D)

Could be a generation thing perhaps because to me it's down there with some really poor behaviour. I see texts as trivial and I don't regard any relationship as such, and really if you've had sex with someone then it's gone way beyond coffee and star sign trivial. If this normal for kids now then hey, times move on.

I much preferred it before mobile phones. Sure, dumping wasn't as cavalier, but it was much more difficult to be bunny boilered.

Likely the difference is that I would regard the described relationship as trivial (I would never shag a fatty though). Just means I'm more of a jerk than you I suppose :(
