I don't think it's worth getting too hung up on the failure numbers just yet, as the console still hasn't even been officially released yet. Let's give it a week and see how it goes in the US after release :)
 
As long as mine works.

I brought back 7 3dsxls is that acceptable? All you have to do is wipe the screen and dust will stick under the screen

yup let them be the Guinea pigs :D then if things do get dicey (touch wood it doesn't) sony has time to sort it out before it reaches us
 
All this "problem" talk is just so premature!

There may or may not be an issue, but I don't think anyone can draw any conclusions until at least next week.
 
Who was it again has a load of these preordered to make the big bucks off eBay? Bet he's craping bricks right about now lol.

Do you think the bricked ps4 could be firmware related? Instead of hardware.
 
i'm starting to wonder if this is a firmware update thats gone bad, but we won't know until a week or so down the line..

Its a whole new games console, new architecture for Sony, new OS etc.. Its a big change, however upon saying this.. Who was it that bricked a load of consoles due to a HD size issue with a firmware.. Ah yes thats right, Sony did.

Sony, could you be up to your old tricks again? - : -)

Ahh you mean MrMoon lol.. Naa he will probably still profit on them luckily.
 
So, GAME will be taking money out from the 18th.

I had a chat to one of their support tech people online to confirm this.

Pre-ordered back in early July, I should get this no problem on the morning of the 29th... then 15 days off work.

Amazon still says 29th Nov for me. Number of times I've had cold feet and nearly cancelled though, more then I'd like to admit as deep down i think this console can offer me so much more then anything else.. I have faith this is the best Console Sony has ever done, but I could be 100% wrong on this.

Who knows, but i'm sticking to my guns, PS4 is it, and i'm hoping for good things, as i stuck with my PS3 through thick and thin.. Despite having a few 360's to bridge the gaps.

PC gaming will alway be where my true heart is, Steam and my gaming laptop will be the one bit of tech i'd never be willing to give up. But I still think the PS4 will compliment my gaming laptop nicely.
 
Sony will fix this, however Sony support lines.. Urgh..!! About as good as Alienware Support at times. you get a good agent, happy days. But get one that follows the script only or won't budge or doesn't know what to do..!!

Not a good experience IMO.
 
I'm not liking the look of these failed ps4 units 0_o.
On my 4th ps3 at the moment and its my 3rd in the last two years and even the one i have now is faulty. I really hope i don't end up buying 4 ps4's this cycle lol. My old consoles never had any issues as far as i can remember.

Nothing to worry about yet, if this time next week we have thousands of reports of dead consoles then we can worry
