letter of complaint

14/11/2013
Dear sir/madam,
I am writing to make a formal complaint against my advisor, xxx, and I am requesting to simply have a new advisor who is interested in helping me. .
I feel I am competing with my current adviser and I feel I am being unfairly treated and my current advisor is spending all her time and effort spent on me in a negative way.
I would like to, if possible, to come in and speak to you personally about the matter. Or I can email you an in depth overview of my issues if you prefer.

Yours sincerely

better?

your entitled to your opinion, just like im entitled to JSA and entitled to be treated the same as everyone else on JSA.

im doing a darn sight more than most people on JSA.
But you need to follow your job seeker agreement that you signed.

You have:

  1. Missed an appointment
  2. Didn't fill in forms correctly
  3. Failed to use the UJM when your net was down
  4. Didn't visit jobs growth wales as per your agreement.

The state is an absolute joke so you have to jump through these hoops else they will take it away.

To them you are garbage are you really suprised they are treating you this way?

im very surprised given the fact other people get away with murder.

its shocking.

im attending appointments, youth centre programmes etc and im still receiving nothing.

shes threatening to extended my JSA sanction cause i didn't go onto jobs growth wales. im not receiving JSA at the moment so why do i have to even attend JC and give in job search??

my agreement is for JSA. im not receiving it.

am i supposed to meet JSA agreement criteria even though im not receiving any JSA benefit?
surely if i haven't done all steps on agreement it should effect my current benefit, hardship payment??

im not even getting hardship????

im literally doing it all for nothing...

Yep it's unfortunate, but you need to follow your agreement even while it's frozen if you want to receive money/ back payments.

Your arse belongs to the state now! This is why the government takes money from your wages, it a wonderful system

I would focus your efforts on getting a job rather than wasting time complaining.

gunna cut a section of the complaint for you buddy:

"If I’m successful in one of my job applications, how am I supposed to travel to there and back?? I’ve applied for a job in asda which is 7-8 miles away. How can I pay for bus to do my shift every day if I have no money? Just 2 hardship payment would cover that till I get first monthly salary but I can’t even get that at this minute. "

Wait...what?!?!

Youdsy what you need to do is go into the jobcentre and asked for somebody to explain to you what the complaints procedure is.

Now this can obviously be gained via the web or leaflet or whatever, but by going in and asking about it you will send a clear message you're not happy and this will almost certainly find its way back to Sharen via the JSA grapevine.

They'll probably try and deal with your concerns informally to nip your complaint in the bud, but stick to your guns and ask exactly how the complaints procedure works, be very polite and resist the urge to start moaning to whoever you speak to.

Once you have the info ask for someone's name to make the complaint to, don't let them fob you off saying it is a big dept etc, get a name.

On your next review with Sharen say you aren;t happy with the way she is treating you and if she doesn't put a couple of decent prospects your way you will write to xxxx and will persist in escalating your complaint as you have plenty of spare time.

She'll find something for you :)

thanks for that mate. will do that i think.

i take it she's meant to show me jobs or basically help me find a job in some fashion??

currently she has done nothing to help me and that is no exaggeration.

i went down today for an appointment before college and all she said was that i have to start going into more detail with my job search. (detail is the same as always but now it's suddenly a problem???)

and she threatened me with another sanction

i'd ran down there in the rain and came away with nothing.

She's goading you, state workers love it.

Too much attitude in that last bit, I'd leave it off.
I feel I am competing with my current adviser and I feel I am being unfairly treated and my current advisor is spending all her time and effort spent on me in a negative way.
Competing how? It's enough to say that you feel you've been unfairly treated which sounds reasonable from skimming your OP.
All her time? Slightly ott perhaps. Just say she isn't giving you the help you need.

An in depth overview is a bit of a oxymoron. But anyway, I think you should include more detail in the above letter but stick to specifics and be very concise with it. You have several hundred words trying to explain the issue arising from your part time course, you don't need so much commentary. As said, it does sound like you're "having a natter" ("How she could know that is beyond me" / "I feel she was looking for the ammunition" / "I found it hard to understand how she would need to find two minutes").

I think whoever this advisor is needs a promotion and some form of award personally.

I think she should be shoved under a bus. Horses for courses. :P

For you own sanity and dignity you really need to escalate this.

This.

Write the letter get down to the centre and get complaining. You're entitle to appeal sanction's by the way and should have been told so. The only one you probably cant get away with is missing the appointment, the rest seem like BS to me...

This is taken from the letter in the OP "The only reason I do an in-depth job search is to receive hardship"

Don't say things like this as they will definitely stop your jsa.

People nowadays make a career out of jsa (I don't mean you) as they know how to scam it. There has to be 13 weeks between ending a claim and claiming the same benefit again so what people do to get around this is: claim jobseekers for the maximum 6 months and then claim esa (sick) for thirteen weeks inbetween claims (making them eligible for jsa again). They can legally get sick because it takes around 13 weeks to have your appointment with the esa doctor and when they kick you off it doesn't matter because you are now eligible for jsa etc. And around the circle goes.

This is just one loophole of many and its ridiculous when you think about it because people can claim for as long as they want.
I read a lot of these things on the debt and money saving sites, its mad what some get away with. I'd hate to have to claim anything and dread ever having to do so.
