Movie idea...

Even if I managed to put the whole plot together by following your guidelines pestilence, where would I go next ?

First, you outline the plot. Write a few pages detailing everything that happens in the story from start to finish. This is a "treatment", and basically just tells what happens in your film. No need to make it fully professional, as at this stage it's purely for your own benefit.

Beside that, write biographies for each of your characters. Every single one needs to be fleshed out, and when you do that on paper and actually give them a life and personality, it's easier to come to quick decisions as to how they will react within situations in your narrative.

Those would be my recommendations for now. Once you've got it all fleshed out and on paper, come back to someone like myself for more polishing.

If you're looking to maybe write it yourself, but don't know quite where to start when it comes to the form, etc. try grabbing Syd Field's book "Screenwriting", which is a very useful resource.

Okay, do you fancy joining together and doing half each ? And maybe once it's all finished we can send it off to someone ? We can just email each other and sort things out ? It's just I'm a terrible writer and I failed English so... I mean I could probably do it but I'm not sure, if you don't want to though it's fine :)

Going from your name and the way you say hello..

I'm guessing its about a lad from an averagely rough background who's daddy touches him and forces him to sleep under the stairs. His teachers notice his grades are failing and one lovely Sandra Bullock actor attempts to adopt him into her rich posh family narrowly evading the twist in the plot that you're actually a meth dealer and force people to say your name "Rudeboy".. This eventually goes away when you realise the love Bullock has for you and you turn into a posh tomboy now greeting people with "Hello".

Tell me I'm right. I'm right aren't I. Yeah I am.

I'm very busy, pretty much on a constant basis, but I can certainly provide feedback and help where I can. :)

If you want to take it further and get started with the meat of the story following my suggestions, then just feel free to grab me via email with your progress and we can work it from there. :)

THE WEATHER, TOO, IS QUIRKY

PLOT SYNOPSIS by Rudeboy1

24 hours in L.A.; it's raining cats and dogs. Two parallel and intercut stories dramatize men about to die: both are estranged from a grown child, both want to make contact, and neither child wants anything to do with dad. Earl Partridge's son is a charismatic misogynist; Jimmy Gator's daughter is a cokehead and waif. A mild and caring nurse intercedes for Earl, reaching the son; a prayerful and upright beat cop meets the daughter, is attracted to her, and leads her toward a new calm. Meanwhile, guilt consumes Earl's young wife, while two whiz kids, one grown and a loser and the other young and pressured, face their situations. The weather, too, is quirky.
