letter of complaint

LOL DWP. Iain Duncan Smith doesn't have a clue how to run anything let alone being aware of what the **** is going on.

About 2 years ago I was on JSA for about 3 months before I got my current role. It's astonishing what happens in Job Centres. Don't know how, but it looks like they've somehow managed to employ their whole family tree to "run" the one in Stratford. From their great grandmas who struggle to breathe and can't utter a word of English let alone form any kind of intelligible sentence, right down to their nieces and nephews.

I don't even understand why it's called "Job Centre", it has absolutely nothing do do with employment or 'Jobs' whatsoever. In the three months I was asked to sign on 6 times, it went pretty much like this:

1. Sign here: ...................
2. Here is your money and your next appointment.
3. Repeat step 1 every two weeks.

The whole system is designed around dole scums. I feel sorry for anyone who has to attend the Job Centre who is actually looking for a job.

To be fair the job centre ****ed me off so much I eventually told them with great pleasure to shove it up their arse and ****ing die in a hole.

Lasted out on savings and stuff, they're useless unless you're essentially not qualified to operated a dustpan and brush, you're stuffed for finding gainful employment.

spoke to the manger over the phone. she said to send long one(rant) detailing what the problem is, rather the the short and sweet letter.

said its her job and doesn't mind reading it.

nice lady seems genuinely helpful.

that's what my advisor is trying to get me to do.

Some people seem to take great pleasure in making other people suffer. She sounds like a horrible person TBH, but you might find she holds all the cards.

I don't see what the adviser is doing wrong other than enforcing the rules? Unless you have been living under a rock you will know that the government is trying its best to cut the benefits bill. If your JSA is important to you then you will have to make sure you jump through any hoops that you have to... I'm not saying this is right or wrong but it is the reality of the situation.

You seem to have put a lot of effort in to your complaint. May I ask if you put this much effort in to each job application that you undertake?

"So Dr. Heisenswartz, I see you have multiple degrees and a wealth of experience behind you, I see we have a job opening for a tea makers apprentice at the local council offices, would you be interested?"

If you have no current employment then why should the state support you until you find your ideal role? Take what you can in order to get cashflow through the door and worry about getting the perfect fit once you're actually in employment.

I know a few on JSA and they're constantly moaning that there are no jobs. Infact there are jobs (as they've admitted) just that they're not 'what I want to do' and 'aren't using my degree'.

Admittedly an apprenticeship might be a bad example but far too many get away with holding out for their dream job (which may be over-subscribed or whatever) whilst supported by the state.

I feel for you dude, I really do. This is sick, like the poor really need to be beaten down any more....why are we not marching into parliament and hanging these criminals I don't know. Oh wait, yeah I do, 'cos the majority of people are in their comfort zone and wont do anything until they are effected personally.

If I was in your position I'd probably just lose the plot and take out a personal vendetta on said advisor, I'm sure she owns a car, make her pay for making you pay. I seriously think nothing will come of your letter, they are all in each others pockets.

im all for hanging the MPs but the job advisor? have you considered shes probably bullied by management on order of a senior civil servant to meet her quota of sanctions. This order came from a minister ultimately, the culture in the job centre isnt one of social support its to sanction sanction and sanction some more, you can thank IDS for that, hang him ;)

Power to the people!

Youdsy... I hope you get your situation sorted with minimum (further) hassle.

When I was on JSA, I couldn't believe the range of differing attitudes from the Job Centre staff. Some just wanted people in, signed, and out ASAP, others gave you a real grilling over what you'd been doing, and there was the occasional gem who really did want to do what they could to help you to find work.

Really, the last thing you want (as someone genuinely looking for work) is the **** you have to put up with from the JC for the pittance that the JSA amounts to.

"Interesting" to read above how the "career" JSA claimants do it though.

Go see CAB, They will help as much as possible.

You missed an appointment, they WILL sanction for that regardless of excuses.
You failed to use the website they told you to use, Another sanction because you MUST find a PC to use either in a library, community center or just break into someone's house and use theirs.....JC+ don't care as long as you just use their website.

Sadly Some JC+ staff are sanction happy and just love to screw over as many people as they can, They keep going on about how many people have got employment and starting new businesses in my area. Fact is they are just sanctioning everybody and people have no choice but to sign off and find alternative ways to get money. There's been more burglary's and more cannabis farms found lately so I can see what they turned to.

Get off JSA and stay clear of the job center, Your just wasting your time and giving them the satisfaction of putting you down.

If I were ever in the situation again, I'll certainly seriously consider if it's worth the hassle of going to the JC for what you get from them.
