hello folks
building my first low budget build (the ever first one) with some help and i have analyse the market for and £115 gpu and there's 7850 and 260x, similar performance on both, the same price range( the 7850 from msi at £107)but which one to choose?

reasons to consider 7850
2 free games
slight better performance in battlefield 3

reasons to consider 260x
newer
higher clocks

which one will i choose?(slightly going towards the 7850)

I believe the 260X is a 7850 with a different name, so I would go for the 7850 and take the free games as a bonus :)

7850 is better, and will overclock further. But the 270X is faster again and not a huge amount more.

Nah, the 260X is a range below. 128bit memory, fewer shades, etc.

The best performing card under £150 is the 270X. This is a 7870 GHz Edition but with faster memory.

But I see the 7850 is on offer this week for £108. That's brilliant value for performance, even if it's a small PCB/heatsink, so less overclocking potential.

The 270 is faster than a 7850, but has next to no overclock headroom and isn't much cheaper than the 270X.
