Children In Need - How much have you donated?

Nothing. The tax i pay is more than enough to pay for children in need in this country, but the politicians want to spend it on train lines and so on.... their fault not mine.

None. at the moment i tend to only donate to local charities so i can see where the money goes

too many high earners at these big charities. Some of them are on ridiculous salarys to spend all year taking people out to expensive buisness meetings and dinners and generally having a much easier time than anyone in real industry/buisness

50p when i went to Cobham services yesterday. I was asked if i wanted it put on my food bill, i felt obliged lol.

Superb services.

What a hateful bunch of people in this thread!

I donate to Cancer Research UK, but I have absolutely no problem with CiN or the people involved.

Not really - Most children are wasteful brats & having just been out for a beer & been in the company of kids all I can say is Arghhh - No more CIN they are pest - Kids should be home & not in pubs & not in my company.

Never liked the kids in pubs thing. Pubs are one of the places you go to get away from brats. I hate "family" pubs. I want my pubs as seedy as possible.

Nothing as I contribute to society enough as it is through taxes and medical research. I also hate the sob story style of charity appeals that try emotionally blackmail the viewers into doing a "moral" thing. I dread to think how much it costs the children in need charity to even fundraise using the BBC as its conduit as it most certainly won't be for free...

£0

Never have, never will. I'd give up my time to help people where required, I'd gladly volunteer for macmillan if they had any vacancies here as they were fantastic with my nan in end of life care but I have my own family to provide for. It leaves very little at the end of each week to do anything with!

£0

Of what I saw (which wasn't much), it was a big advert for the spawn of Cowell. JLS, those annoying twins from Ireland, One Direction being introduced as "the biggest band in the world"!?

Off.

Meh. Not gonna waste 3 hours watching horrendous comedy, Z list celebrities, and some sob stories scattered here and there which are specifically doctored to brainwash you by inducing emotion. I gave it a chance and saw a load of crap.

I'd rather go to dec.org.uk and put my money towards the efforts which are saving children from imminent death.

Ain't you the murtad who left Islam?

I haven't donated to CIN, but have donated for Movember.

I never remember when CIN is nowadays, as back in my days, it was always in late November e.g. Friday 24th Nov 1995 and I'm too used to that. Bit like Olivio vs Bertolli... it will always be Olivio to me, even though it changed names some 20-odd years ago!
