*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Are you referring to rendered at 1080p or are you using the Microsoft PR line of rendered 720p and upscaled to 1080p? Because if its the latter you have even less credibility than I thought, which impressive in itself.
Sorry, who are you? Insult me like that again and you'll enjoy a nice long holiday.

I'm talking about games that are true 1080p. Fifa, Forza, NBA Live, NBA 2K14, Madden, NFS, Kinect Sports Rivals and UFC are all games confirmed to be 1080p.

i'd be amazed if they ran out of games, controllers or all the extras you can spend your hard earned wedge on..

i'd maybe get a replacement HDMI lead, from all accounts the freebie in the box is pretty poor - even for HDMI lead standards.

I already have my all singing all dancing £60 () HDMI lead at the ready. Been wasting it on my digibox since I sold the PS3. Roll on PS4!

Not even considering a cancellation, instead I decided to put the cash down upfront. That's how convinced I am of it being a non-issue.

unfortunatly never got round to putting in a preorder until after 6th Aug so im hoping this may make it a bit easier to get hold of a console :)

oh War Thunder on PS4 supports keyboard/mouse http://kotaku.com/surprisingly-one-ps4-game-supports-mouse-and-keyboard-1462525553

So far, the free-to-play WWII action simulator made by Gaijin Entertainment is the only PS4 game I've heard about that supports the use of a mouse and keyboard. And flight sticks. But that support isn't of the plug-and-play variety. Gaijin president Anton Yudintsev told me that letting players use non-Dual Shock 4 input devices takes some effort from developers to do." Mouse and keyboard play was possible on PS3 but it required special devices or converters to happen.1

The PS4 version of War Thunder does some other intriguing things, too. It's cross-platform, which means that PS4 players will be playing on the same servers as PC gamers. And it uses the PlayStation Eye camera for head-tracking, letting you change the viewpoint in the game simply by turning you face in a different direction. I didn't get to see either the head-tracking or the

Isn't the amount of bricked only 0.4% anyway? That's pretty acceptable in terms of mass production and as montymint says if you're incredible unlucky and is it bricked just get a replacement, you get 1 year warranty. After that just extend it.

Surely it's too soon to know the exact percentage. That figure being spouted just sounds like damage control.

I put my order in with Amazon on 6th September and still being told I got a release console, got upgraded to killzone bundle.

Seems way blown out at the moment think a lot of issues seem due to poor packaging with the Amazon units, or problems with downloads/FW update causing lock ops. The Amazon reviews are a joke, plenty of real failures but prob even more fanboy reviews TBH, i expect to see the exact same happen with the XB1 amazon reviews.

because it's their product and they would obviously know all aspects of the manufacturing process, and how many have been produced and how many have been reported as failed

Because everyone has reported if it has failed or is telling the truth?

I imagine the number is largely different
