So, following on from this thread, we decided to spice things up a bit.

Since the posting of the thread, I had a minor disagreement with my landlord over a broken unused microwave that was taking up space in our house. I decided that the sparklers would be used to solve the problem of said microwave.

Sadly we had lost a packet so had to make do with only 95, which didn't look that much when spread out.

These were then spread evenly within the microwave to ensure even cooking. No stirring would be performed halfway through this procedure.

You may be thinking this was a ******* stupid idea. Not to worry, we had a contingency plan!

Bonus points for "Strike Knob Hard"

We changed our minds.

With everything in place, we prepared our "everything has gone horribly wrong" fix.

Everything was set, it was placed in the garden, times set and all plugged in, all we had to do was switch it on and take cover.

Sadly, my iPhone was its usual self and ran out of battery at this point mid recording the video, before Voxination had a chance to pull out his phone and start recording, flames were visible inside the oven, followed by a loud bang.

We had hoped for a bit more of a bang and some more destruction to be perfectly honest.

It appears that as the sparklers caught light and were about to go pop, the fire extinguisher combusted, throwing the door open, yet annoyingly (or rather fortunately, depending on whom you are asking) it put the fire out in the process. Bugger.

We emptied the buckets swiftly over the fire, minimising any loss to the surrounding area, thus declaring the operation a success.

Fire extinguisher can didn't fare too well.

We put the powder to good use.

Alcohol may have been involved.

I have questions

Why didn't you film it?

Why are you surprised that the fire extinguisher dumping its contents inside a small space put out a fire in that space?

Why, when the results were so disappointing, did you go to the trouble of making a thread about it?

Edit: First question retracted, didn't read properly

Adding the extinguisher was either madness or genius, I can't tell which.

I'd say it depends on your philosophy!

For me it's genius.

This should be a poll.

Well that was poorly thought out, I will blame the booze.

We stuffed a load of fire works in one few years ago, shattered the door and buckled the frame.

Adding the fire extinguisher was of course a mistake lol. Then the escape plan was to throw loads of water onto electrical equipment lol.

A for effort though, :p

Because we didn't really think it through.

We thought the results were good enough to warrant a thread, and, as you may have guessed from the fact we even attempted this, we were bored :p

Glad some people liked it anyway - this morning I may or may not have been googling "microwave explosions" and looking on gumtree for cheap microwaves - watch this space :D
