I just recieved my Nemisis clone and kayfun 3.1 clone from them this morning, havent used then yet, but had to have a quick look. ;)
I am surprised at the build quality, i was expecting them to be not great, but the build quality is excellent. :)

My setup is exactly the same, microcoil at 1.4oHms, using cotton, 50/50 juice, but i dont get a harsh taste at all.
What cotton are you using? Cant really think of anything else :confused:
 
In regards to the cotton taste make sure you boil it otherwise you can get some nasty chemical like taste and secondly make sure you roll it and it's somewhat compressed to get it through. I just rewicked mine the other day and didn't bother and have noticed flavours that usually work fine with this exact setup taste like crap!

And Lastly a DNA20 mod of some sort, would prefer tube mods, but by god there expensive and not good looking so would be a box mod of some sort.

I'm not a fan of box mods, but his have got better and better - certainly compared to his early work (Smint tin mod anyone?) - other than the €400 (and the extra premium for secondhand, since they're sold out) Mark Bugs Wizard Evolved, it's pretty much the only other DNA20 mod I'd consider.

Fine line between rolling cotton too tight and not enough even coverage inside the coil...
Don't forget, even if you just filled the tank - a fresh cotton wick still needs priming with juice before firing up.

If you dry burn cotton at any stage, it needs immediately replacing, or you'll get a burnt taste whatever juice you use,
 
Im using 100% organic pleat stuff, some days i can get it perfect others it just doesnt want to work at all - Also i notice a lot people mention it pops and crackles a lot, well mine dont at all, they are silent so not sure if that means anything to you guys.

Since i rewicked mine, i have no more pops & crackles.
Afaik if it is making that noise, the wick is too thin and its feeding too much juice.

On top of a FT Nemesis or Chi Choo, it'll look ok, but don't for one instant think you're getting an atty that's anything close to the real McCoy - I've had the pleasure of the genuine Vicious Ant Kraken and it's a seriously well made piece of kit. The airflow control alone is a masterpiece of engineering.
But... for under £30 delivered, a Chemesis & Chraken would make a semi-decent looking and probably reasonably well performing combo...

Yep I learned last night the cons to dry burning a cotton wick. Lots of burnt smelling smoke lol.

Damn I must get more pics of my gp paps, some lovely pics guys. Totally in love with my paps X, it hits just so damn hard more so than my provari even when I crank the voltage up to close 5volts. Such an awesome mod, I'd any of u can get hold of one and afford it...trust me it's well worth it even if it just sits on the shelf :p
 
I know they are both fakes, but they do look nice.
I put the same juice and same oHm coil as in my KFL and there is no difference in Flavour, TH or Vaper when on my Evic.
On the Chemisis however, i do notice a lot more 'hit' off both attys, feels like a stonger vape

It does make you wonder £20 vs £150 for something that will give you the same experience. That is a lot to consider if you're financially struggling or saving. I spent £135 on a mech mod and compared to a clone I can tell no difference and tbh the switch on the clone is better. Am I the fool for buying an original or am I just getting caught up in hype?

It is amazing isn't it? I often wonder this myself. At the end of the day, all they do is fire an atty via a battery, that's it.

They will all perform pretty much the same if the same metals are used. And after getting my "Chemesis" this week, that has pretty much made up my mind.
 
Well I have been vaping my Vamo for a couple of weeks now and compared to using an Ego battery with a Protank, it is wonderful.

I now know that my troubles of broken batteries and cheap stripped threads are over.

How long does a 18650 battery last with charging cycles?
 
I'm very taken with the Atmizoo Guppy and the Bayou carto tank.

However... I know effectively nothing about cargo tanks.

Anyone want to drop a knowledge bomb on me? I'm looking for something for work, carry around in my pocket and so on. Do they leak? Do they taste nice? Are they easy to use?

I'm currently watching some videos to find out what I can, just found that Todd's got a video about the Bayou and GrimmGreen talks about carto stuff a lot, but if anyone's got anything they think I should know, I'm interested :)

It depends on the quality of the battery and how low you let it discharge. I never let it get to 3.2v. I always recharge them at around 3.5v-3.6v.

I have a cycle with batteries as well so that one is not always getting hammered.

Really annoyed that either they weren't around or I didn't know about them when I ordered my Nemesis clone from FT. It's still not even showing up on the tracking, so it's somewhere between there and leaving China I think. Grr. It's like £7 more from there, out of stock now though.

Got a Kayfun 3.1 clone on order as well from FT, I stuck that on an order on its own with the intention of forgetting about it and it turning up but I haven't managed to forget yet, haha
 
I've got a real nemesis and a clone. they are both pretty hard work until u swap out the spring for magnets. but when u do it's a wonderful mod. I got a few sets from the official atmomixani shop last week. it should come with magnets really at the price it costs as they are so much better than the spring which I had a hard time with. I've got some magnets on order for the chi you which is meant to make it loads better.

btw the clone is so good that all the official spare parts fit fine.

If I'm honest I'm not the biggest fan of bottom switches in general, it just seems to be the most common setup by quite a way.

Top switch is what I like best, possibly looking at a dingo/roller at some point. Or a decent clone/sig. The 13b I had was just dreadful though, I ordered a 13a and it turned out to be a 13b which is pretty much dangerous. A bizarre stepped spring arrangement which looks very much like it can just go off on its own if the spring gets a tiny bit bent. That went back.

Got the bottom switch on my Sig 19 as good as it's going to get I reckon, took a fair bit of work though. But it did take quite a lot of work to get it right.. o-ring to bring the throw down, heating and compressing the spring to make it less brutally hard to push, grinding the magnet off, then drilling the firing pin and hammering in a flat-topped brass screw. Oh and running a bit of copper wire through the delrin at the bottom to get it to stop misfiring! That said I really like it now, even though the amount of work to make it be what it should be out of the box is absurd.

I was having a vape in the town center today, outside a popular real smoke store, when a big burly looking guy walked up to me and asked about my vape, we exchanged some words, he pulled out a real Nemisis and KFL, so, having seen my Clone Nem (and real KFL) next to his real, I can say, the only difference is mine is shiny AND matte and his engraving is better...Swapped drip-tips and the vape is the same. I am really happy with my Clonisis, I actually prefer the looks of the mixed finish to all shiny or matte.

I also secured a kick for £12 and it works great so my SID will be taking a back-seat for now. Only thing I need or want now is the magnets for my Nem as he had a magnetic switch and I found it really nice...
