My trip with AMD in San Jose, California (Photo Heavy)

Found an exclusive gif of 5UB in his limo-taxi

So we were left off at the AMD BF4 Fan Event.

So there are 100s of systems being set up:

With the game running, here are the gamers enjoying it!

The APU13 and AMD BF4 Fan Day event was all held here:

Actually before I forget, before this gaming event, for breakfast I had a typical American breakfast, went for the Bayside.

It was so nice. :D

Back to the event... There were also some other companies there, from Powercolor:

And MSI:

And there were lots more there, like Gigabyte, Corsair, Cooler Master, and ASUS etc. You get the idea. :)

Keynote sessions at the APU13 event were great, hearing from developers of the Crytek Engine, and developers of BF4 as regards to what they think the future of gaming is going to be.

So my photos are running low now, I would have taken more but there was a lot going on, and I had lots to do, but I have tried to share as much as I am allowed to. :)

Outside of my hotel room I could see Adobe:

And that is probably the most I can share with you. Hope you enjoyed looking at a sneak peek. :)

Wow, (business ;) ) trip of a lifetime!

Would love to go to san francisco, combining it with an AMD conference and gaming makes it even better.

Don't worry it does all look fun, and it was, but there was a lot of hard work involved too.

Here is a snip it of the closed doors, that was the longest day, but the other days we had lots of meetings and discussions too. :)

You know you've watched too much Bond when you think of Duran Duran.

Meeting you with a view to a kill
Face to faces, secret places, feel the chill

I'm always amazed how wide American roads/highways are. Plus how open the areas and so much space even between houses. America always looks such a fantastic place to live! Then you look back at Britain then realise how everything looks so cramped and old.

Best of all, the American's really know how to build their golf courses. Quality, elegance and class in every way.

Apart from advertising, what was the point of the trip? negotiate any sweet discounts for OcUK?

The point for me? I learnt a lot, and met a lot of people who do what I do over there for much bigger companies. We had several meetings over there and round table sessions, it is confidential so cannot say what it is about unfortunately. But it is all great things for me, which will be passed onto you guys. :)

American style rebates for OcUK?

Makes a change from the office eh ;) !

Definitely! I really enjoyed it, I hope it happens again, I really learnt a lot from it, and I seemed to have helped other people too which was nice.

It is nice to finally meet people who do a similar job to myself, community management is a very new title for most companies, and it wasn't something that existed a while back.

Now it is an extremely important role for companies, especially customer facing companies it is probably one of the most important roles, as company reputation means everything.

No one really knows about the role perfectly, yet, as in what is right and wrong and the best way to do things. - It varies on business, and also monitoring the work that we do, is well... Almost impossible.

From what I see though, the work that I do, I can see that it has a massive impact on my company and it seems like our customers can see that too which makes it more fantastic.

I love being involved with you guys, and I learn from your experiences with our company too, to strive and improve myself and the company so we have much more satisfaction.

My way of thinking is based around this quote which I do not believe in.

"Treat others as you want to be treated."

It is close, but my quote would be:

"Treat others greater than what you want to be treated."

5th pic from the bottom in the first post- didn't know there's wild panda in America :D

Joke aside...you didn't managed sleep popularly during the flight, or too busy making preparation for the trip without sleep?
