Does anyone know if I would get better temps/noise levels with the ref cooler blower or with the 3rd party open aircoolers on a SLI gtx 780 or gtx 780ti setup in a TJ07 case ?

My TJ07 case airflow fans are
x2 rear 92mm fans (can't remember which way I have them :o)
x2 top 120mm fans (exhaust)
x1 front 120mm fan (inlet)

all fans running at 7v

Reference coolers mean more noise and lower temps. Non ref will be quieter but hotter running. If case airflow is poor they can effect overall system temps due to dumping more heat into the case.

Problem is I don't know what temps I would get with each kind unless I actually have the GPU's to be able to try both setups...:(

As an idea, my wf 670's hit 71 and 55c at stock speed in bf4. 1-1 custom fan profile. There's a one slot gap between them on my board.

That sounds very worrying when each of yours 670's is rated at 70watts lower power draw then a GTX 780 or 780ti...

Stock 670 = 170watts
Stock 780/780ti = 250watts

And when overclocked the power difference is going be even bigger :(

From what i've read of the 780/ti/titan.

The stock coolers are excellent. And an aftermarket one while often better, isnt really a big deal. (because these reference ones are so good)

The main decision I think is Air or water. Rather than which air cooler.

I couldn't see a ref cooler giving less heat over a custom cooler if you wanted to stay on air in truth. Plenty of air flow in your case to not worry about it.

If temps and noise are a priority then I can recommend the DirectCU II, I have these cards in SLI after previously running 580 Twin Frozr in SLI and they are much quieter and temps are great. If you are looking to significantly overclock them then I think there are better choices available though. I can only seem to get +170 on the core running stable at 110% power limit, I have the memory at +330 though so if I dropped that I might be able to get the core a bit higher.
