LG G2 - Lumia - Nexus 5 which one to get?

From some one who has gone from G2 to Nexus , I would say G2 if you can find the 32gb version. Its an absolute beauty. I moved to the N5 (32gb) because of the storage and pure android.

G2's skin is OK nothing amazing but I prefer stock. Its still a great phone. If you can get the 32gb version go for it ! The battery life is absolutely phenomenal !

N5 is a great phone but G2 has a better camera, bigger screen (similar over all phone size) and an amazing battery !

G2 beats almost every phone in terms of battery life which is amazing, screen is better and camera is better. Nexus 5 has better build, software. If you like WP then I would recommend waiting for the L920 replacement as it is really old now, using a S4 which is 2 gens behind now compared to the newer 1520 that comes with a s800 I believe, and screen is 720p where as most phones are 1080p.

+1

The G2 is amazing, certainly the best mobile you can get at this moment in time and as previous posters have said the 32Gb model can be bought for roughly the same price as the 32Gb Nexus 5.

The battery life on the G2 is nothing short of amazing..I have the N5 as well and easily prefer the G2 over it.

I think it depends on how often you change your phones.

The G2 will get 4.4 in about 100000 months and that is it. The nexus will be better supported in the long term.

True if up to date software's your bag. LG isn't exactly trailblazing the market with it's software updates but it would be absolutely crazy if it doesn't update its G series phones to 4.4

TBH there isn't any major improvements in 4.4 just minor ones over 4.3 I don't think Google will be overhauling Android anytime soon as it's a pretty good OS overall.

This is coming from a hardcore Nexus fan who's had all the Nexus phones that have been released so far and to say I prefer the G2 over the Nexus 5 is saying something.

Below are the battery stats of my G2 running over the last few days

The g2 is the attractive option now. However that position may change depending on how long you want to keep the phone.

The G2 will be harder to get rid of on the second hand market than a nexus. On the other hand if you want to keep the phone for the next two years, you may start regretting the decision as android updates are released by Google and LG start focussing on new flagship phones. Traditionally, LG has provided one update for flagship phones and then switched attention to something else.

I would get the g2 if I wanted to keep the phone for under a year and the nexus 5 if I wanted to keep the phone for longer.

G2 owners: has anyone tried using the GEL and seeing what it looks like?

one thing i always chased was latest google updates but if you think about it for a second what extra features do you get?

like 4.4 from 4.3, hardly worth selling your current phone just to buy the nexus 5 just because of 4.4.

LG will get 4.4 but that's not the reason why im buying it :)

nexus 5 felt to bland to me, ok its dev phone can do massive ROMage on it but you can only do so much, speaker is poor imo and battery wasn't that impressive.

cant say more on the G2 as im still waiting for it to be delivered this week, so will update once ive had a hands on.

i dont keep my phones very long but hoping to keep the g2 for at least a year...i hope!

I'd go for the G2 even with all the drawbacks - stock AOSP ROM is boring as hell to so I'd Custom ROM on a Nexus anyway.

Add in the better battery and screen and it easy to see why people like the G2.

i would go for the nexus or nokia. lg likely to go wrong.

hahaha.
