*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

where can you purchase a ps4 with a 5 year guarantee? Do electronic stores still do 5 years guarantees (of course at a cost, which I'd be willing to pay)

Sale of goods act is the only warranty you will ever need.... ;) No idea why you would want to pay for something you are legally entitled to anyway...

So, how's everyone enjoying the PS4 so far? Glad you got it or not? What about the games, are they good in your opinion?

If you switched from the Xbox 360, are you glad you did? Was it an easy transition?

I'm pretty sure only those of us in the US have them at the moment.

Overall I'm pretty happy with mine but as I mentioned a few pages ago, the game lineup is poor (as are almost all console launches to be fair), especially since I have BF4 and Ghosts on the PC already. I might pick up BF4 again though, as playing on the 80" blows my 30" monitor away in terms of scale.

I'm not a huge fan of the new interface but it's better than the one that was on the PS3 that's for sure. I love the controller, it's definitely as good as the Xbox's now. I miss the media center apps like DLNA and for streaming off my NAS but that's not a deal breaker.

As mentioned before, I bought 2 PS4's on release and will also have 2 Xbox One's so I'm definitely not biased either way. I do feel the PS4 is the more powerful console and that's hard to dispute but there are a lot of exclusives on the Xbox that I'd like to play as well, not to mention, currently at least, the massively superior media center capabilities.

Thanks for responding so quickly.

I don't know which one to get! I used to be really into games like CoD, but often now I play games like Tiger Woods, Fifa (even though I'm awful and I know nothing about football).

Any recommendations? I know this is the PS4 thread, but I just thought I'd ask.

Honestly, I feel it comes down to which exclusives you prefer. In terms of media capabilities, the Xbox has stolen the show at the moment but raw power wise, it tips the other way. There are some stunning titles coming out for both platforms but if you're likely to be playing a lot of cross platform games like Fifa/TW/CoD then it makes sense IMO to buy the more powerful console that will yield the best frame rates or visual quality.

That sounds like good advice. Thanks a lot :).

I'd also argue if you wanted to play a good amount of exclusives to get the ps4 as well...

Indeed.

I looked at the XBOX360 exclusives which interested me, and it stopped dead at Gear of war and Halo. PS3 had much better exclusives imo, so I went with PS4.

Just changed my order from a killzone bundle to mega one - extra controller and ps camera well worth it for that price - was looking to buy them seperatley instead.

Roll on launch day!!!

Any zumba-ish games coming to the PS4 camera? - Need the missus to take to the PS4 so I can get rid of the xbox 360 lol

I'm assuming the ps camera is the same thing as the kinect right? - or is it just for recording my mug whilst I game? :(

It's not as advanced as Kinect. But then at mega bundle price you can think of the camera as free.

I hate the kinect - its laggy and doesn't work in our front living room without the blinds closed on a sunny day.

As long as its not that bad and the missus can prance around to zumba then its a win! :)

Think Xbox got the exclusive for zumba on launch but am I right in thinking it'll be available eventually?

That's my pre-order paid off in full :D

Sony PlayStation 4 Mega Pack
[2xDS4 + 1xPS Eye Camera + Fifa14 + KZ:SF]
+ Battlefield4

Fun times ahead
