What's in your winter survival kit?

Scraper, oil, coolant, gloves, sometimes stick a blanket in just in case, you never know.

Can see me getting stuck this year though, was very close last year (also 100 feet from my front door)

Pretty much what I normally carry in my boot, toe rope, jump leads, spare 2 ltr bottle of water, oil, gloves, ices scrapper, jack.
In winter i put a blanket. extra gloves plus a hat and a entrenching tool.
I also carry my hiking bag and boots, last year I had to walk 12 miles home as the road became undriveable.

Boots, gloves, jacket, some ice grip things for the boots, snow shovel, hi-vis jacket, warning reflector thingy, de-icer, if i check the weather and its rubbish (snow) i shove a small bag of road grit in the boot that way if you get stuck you can scrape worst of the snow away stick some grit down around the wheels and that might give you enough grip on snow to get going.

If thats an FWD Mazda3 leave the BMW at home if it snows  :p

Funnily enough my dad has made me promise I won't do the same with the BMW :p it will be staying firmly on the drive at home lol.

AA card, pair of wellies in the boot, packet of starburst in the arm rest and a spare tyre.

Carried all year round(the arm rest contents change from time to time though)

4wd and boost set to 17psi. Just to make sure I can get out of those slippery junctions. ;)

oh and sat nav set to the nearest b&q car park!

Winter survival kit? People just need to drive properly and, if they cant, stay indoors and off the roads.

The only time I have ever had trouble was going up a very steep hill in the snow and the person in front of me bottled it and stopped in the middle of it. There was no way I was able to get started again (circa 25-30 degree hill). If they had kept going it would have been no problem.

If it's just me driving, I have no issues.

I've always got a torch, blanket, ski jacket, coat, wellies and hiking boots in the boot of the car anyway. If I get really stuck then the breakdown man can come rescue me.

I'm gunna make a warmth pack I think. recently got locked out of the flat after a night out in town so resorted to sleeping in the car....OH MY GOD IT WAS SO COLD!!!! this was on halloween and I was in just shorts and t-shirt pretty much and it was a cold, rainy night! had the car running with heaters for about 15-30 mins, which got pretty nice and toasty :D but then I slept for a few hours and woke up at 5am freezing my nuts off!!!!

so yea think I'm gunna make a kit of my boots, some thick socks/gloves and some blankets :p

if it's going to be colder than it was that night and I get stuck in the car I don't want to be that cold again...suppose normally I wouldn't be dressed for the beach though haha!

Nothing yet, but I've got a pair of snow socks I'll probably end up putting in the car like the last two years, but I've never used them and can't really be arsed messing about in the cold trying to put the things on if I encounter any trouble anyway. There's a litre of engine and transmission oil in the car, but that's been in there since the service in September. A coat which I carry all of the time. The wheel brace and jack for putting a spare wheel on which are in the car all of the time.

I'll probably just end up putting the snow socks in the boot and putting an ice scraper and de-icer in the car although I won't need the latter in the mornings as the car spends its nights in a (slightly warmer) garage.
