Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

People don't really like it when you play in a decent squad do they :D

Had an awesome game last night on Floodzone, myself, 2 friends and a random guy in our squad kept the parking lot point for most of the map.

They were throwing LAV's, littlebirds several guys all at once and we kept obliterating them. (Squad included: Me (Medic), 2 Engineers and support and we had our 5th guy capping the other points).

Ended up with top 3 in our team and other team saying we "sucked" cause we were working as a squad lol

lol - I don't mind it when 2-3 or even 5 people work together as a squad to a degree its how the game is meant to be played - but it gets quite annoying when the other team has 2 full squads from the same clan so 7+ all using voice comms, etc. as its impossible with random pubbies even if you get 2-3 other people in your squad doing a half decent job to fight against that.

Last night I gave up in frustration as the other team in 3 games was stacked with 7-9 people in the same clan and I was basically fighting 1v6+ trying to do anything. 1 v 3-5 is challenging but enjoyable, more than that just sucks as they can cover every single possible thing you can do.

Oh we only had 4 of us from the same "clan" (friends who just use our Paintball team name as a tag) and teams were fairly even :)

Seems post AA (higher levels of "real" AA kills my mobile GPU's limited VRAM bandwidth :|) is broken to - low setting and high settings are very similiar with high having a little better IQ and no real performance difference - 1-2% at most (not suprising) but medium setting looks gash and drops performance by 20%.

I can see other people playing and seems to be joining a server fine for me. (EDIT: Yup let me join a game just fine).

If your using chrome as your browser IIRC theres some change to how plugins work that might be the cause of the problem (not really followed that change as I use FF).

im using internet explorer 11 iv'e installed the update but still says I need to update?

thats an age old trick is that. So many support players don't realize others want ammo from them and just see the ammo box as their own personal supply of unlimited ammo.

I usually just drop one as soon as I spawn (assuming i'm not back at uncap or something). If people want one, they'll find it on the map.

Some people will have i.e. C4 + mortar or whatever rather than ammo as support IIRC. If I'm playing support I'll usually drop some if I spawn near people and try and drop some near groups of people but its a bit hard picking up on ammo requests sometimes if your concentrating on trying to shoot stuff - needs a bit more obvious notification for rquests that you can fulfil.

To be honest I find it's more efficient to pickup guns than rely on someone else for ammo. You also never know what you're going to get so it's kind of like gun game :D. Managed to get HVT the other day after picking up my 3rd gun :p

Really does amaze me how dice have taken my favourite vehicle (Tank) and turned it into a frustrating mess, oh there's an enemy Tank 70 feet ahead, time to aim way over the top of him so the trebuchet of a main cannon actually manages to hit somewhere in the vicinity. Wtf where they thinking when they main the main cannon round literally plough into the ground after such a short distance? Used to love using the Tanks now its an annoying bloody chore to use because of this utterly retarded system they have in place.

Only a few hundred points needed for the sabot round, with a bit of luck it makes them fun to use again.

I much prefer the LAV to the tanks in BF4. More agile. While in a tank I feel like a very slow walking C4 target. Most of the maps IMO are not big enough to make tank play viable. In saying that I haven't invested that much time in them.

I found this incredibly annoying, although I have now adapted to the drop off its ridiculous. You'd think you were taking part in a shot put.
