I don't see the appeal of VTEC personally, lots of noise and not a great deal of go, but then I guess I've never driven one on a track.(as 98% of owners won't have)

Quite a claim! so is that on the market in it's target segment? What do it's competitors rev to?
Highest revving turbo engine currently on the market: 2100rpm
Honda's superior revving turbo engine: 2200rpm

When did VTEC ever sound good ( or even work) revving from idle?
Rev an Ep3 from Idle/ATR and it sort of works.
It doesnt? Idle revs are limited to 4.5k on my FN2 and 5.5k on my EP3. I can double check these as I currently own both![]()
