So..umm..you kid doesn't know that a new console no matter what its called coming out after the 360 he has played on would be the better of them?...really?...cause that's kinda a concern.

Million of kids out there with millions of parents who do not follow the gaming press. First impressions and all.

Just saying its a BAD decision and one that was really not needed.

Why point them in the wrong direction.

My 8 yr old on the other hand did ask for an xbone one, but he's now getting a PS4

Well, even before the specs and other problems came out of the xbox one, initial preorders were a LOT higher for the PS4, so not really.

As i said, just another ingredient into the pot of bad ingredients.

Now all of a sudden the lesser power is acceptable? The kinect 2.0 that's almost the size of the PS4 itself is acceptable ? The huge console and power brick design is acceptable ? The jaggies acceptable.. To top it all off, it's $100 more for the privilege.

Isn't it crazy when people are defending the larger, less powerful, more expensive out of the two. That's a true fanboy ! Not someone who prefers the Sony offering cos its simply faster, smaller and you're getting MORE for your money.

Agreed. If the Xbox One was a superior console I would gladly get it regardless of manufacture logo on the outside of the casing. I always go for the superior product and this time around it is clearly the Ps4 by a mile!

I must admit I have a few friends who just won't change their mind about buying an X Box One. I ask them for their reasons why and I've never got "oh well I love the X Box exclusives like Halo or Gears" or even a "I think the launch games are better" those reasons I could respect but its almost a blind loyalty that if they loved the 360 the next one must be better than the PS4. No amount or reasoning will work. Ive tried mentioning the specs, the resolution, the tv direction, the price but none of that matters to them they are so adamant like im trying to get them to change football team. So I've been forced to respect their choice .

Then you have no clue, as "new" on a product only works in a VERY short space of time and is mostly reserved for short term advertising.

The group of friends I have been playing with since the original Xbox, are staying with Xbox, purely because they are online gamers and trust MS to deliver while still having major doubts about Sony delivering the online experience. Can't say I blame them.

As someone who's already got a ps4 and as someone who's receiving an xbone on Fri and immediately swapping it for another ps4, I am entitled to express why i'm doing so, arn't i.

If the xbone was a smaller, faster machine, better thought through games console i wouldn't be swapping it.

It's the fact you keep banging on with your opinion. You stated your opinion many pages back, then continued to keep banging on with your opinion for many pages after. We get it, you prefer the PS4. Now bore off, because the PS4vsXBOX bore fest/kiddy bickering is seriously derailing both threads. This is the PS4 thread. I want to talk about the PS4. I don't want to talk about why YOU think the PS4 is better than the XBOX. If you really want to continue in that vein why not create your own thread titled accordingly to do just that?

Yep i have no clue, that's why there were how many ps4 orders compared to xbox ones again? Just in time for Christmas.

Apple called the iPad 4 the New iPad, and that seems to have worked wonders for them.... Imagine if they called it the iPad ONE ...... lol

Well didnt you say they talked and played Gears and Halo, at some point we know Halo is coming with a new title, and wouldn't be surprised if we get another GOW or spinoff from it.

Also blind loyalty is not blind, it would be blind if they hated what they got on the 360 and went and bought a One even though they hated Live or the 360's games or performance, something is wanting them to come back and buy more of the same.

They didn't call it the "New iPad" though, they marketed it that way, for advertising, then they used the years for reference to what model it was.

How many 360s owner's was their till the PS3 caught up only about 8 months ago?, even with all the 360 problems?....race is pretty damn long, and out the gate BOTH of them are selling millions, as is the way gamers would want it.
