I bought a second card from overclockers a couple of days ago. I think it might be faulty. When I opened the packaging the graphics card was quite condensed, and the sticker on the card was peeling off due to it (can't trust DPD). But just to make sure its not that before I send it back I want to see if I am maybe doing something wrong.

Both cards plugged in - No monitor signal, no usb functions (keyboard and mouse lights do not come on)
New card on own first slot - same as above
New card on own second slot - No monitor signal, lights come on keyboard and mouse.

I wouldn't have thought this would be a problem, considering its the same card I already own!

My specs are:

Windows 8.1 pro 64-bit
Bios - 04.06.05
Processor -Intel core i5-3570k cpu @ 3.40GHz
Memory - 8192MB
Card - AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
PSU - OCZ ZE SERIES 850W
Motherboard - Z77X-D3H GIGABYTE

Any help would be brilliant :D

Let me get this straight.

The card arrived with condensation on it and instead of leaving the packaging alone and just sending for an RMA you tried it out in your pc and now nothing works?

does your original card still work?

Id of sent the "new" card back right away if it arrived with condensation on it. I would not of even contemplated trying it out!

Yes my original card still works and everything works, but when the second card is inserted nothing works. Well I couldn't wait, I wanted to try it out :x

Water on circuit boards = Bad :(
Water on circuit boards then applying power = Really bad

Was it a 'b-grade' card by any chance?

As far as I am aware it is meant to be a brand new card. The sticker on the card with the '7850' logo was a different design. Aswell as what can be described as a square shaped sellotape residue on each corner of the card.

Had similar problems (condensation aside) with my HIS 7950, need to set the PCI Gen to 2 instead of Auto and Boot OPROM to Legacy instead of UEFI.

Well I have sent the card back, so I am sure I will find out what the deal is! If it comes back with nothing wrong with it, I will try what you said

*edit* I removed my original working card, and tried the new card on its own in that slot. Which made me to believe it was faulty.
Just my luck, cause my new power supply was making noises when the computer was OFF. Must be that cold weather :P
