Still one of my favourite games of all time, and I've struggled to ever find anything as good (though I'm not real good at searching :p ).

Has anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks.

Cant say i have found much to replace that game over the years, there really is not anything that would be close to it.

The only other games i can think of are the Vampire the masquerade and maybe nocturne but i think both a re quite different and i still prefer Bloodlines to them.

I wish someone would do a kickstarter to make a sequel to bloodlines .

I feel your pain; I'm a huge fan of Bloodlines also and you are right, nothing released since has compared to it (although Dragon Age: Origins was a lot of fun).

The guys who make EVE Online are doing the World of Darkness MMO which is going to be based on the old Vampire: The Masquerade setting rather than the new World of Darkness so that's something to keep an eye on.

Also there are a lot of unofficial patches out there for Bloodlines which may extend your enjoyment of the game, especially if you haven't played through it for a while.

I haven't found anything like that either. Absolutely love that game, top notch. Some of the women in that game were sensational.

Wish I could help, but I'm in the same boat really. I'd love to find a successor to VTMB, but there's just nothing out there that quite fits the bill. And maybe there never will be.

The closest thing I've found that gives me a similar level of enjoyment is Skyrim / Oblivion - you've got very similar RPG and character development options, along with quests and a variety of weapons, as well as 1st or 3rd person viewpoints.

A recent highlight was the Dawnguard expansion for Skyrim, actually focused very much on vampires and either killing them or helping them. Didn't really 'get' playing as the Vampire Lord though, maybe my mods had made it unbalanced to play as him - he just seemed really weak.

Hmmmmm, difficult one because it has very good atmosphere, characterisation and dialogue. The closest I can think of is perhaps Deus Ex.

Yeah Deus ex is the closest that I know of but I have always had a slightly different take on why I find the game unique. For me it is the gritty modern day setting mixed with humour and a huge amount of voyeurism.

Amazing game with amazing community support - rivalled only by one of my other favourite games System Shock 2 which I like for different reasons.

I always liked Damsel best, but I have a thing for girls with red hair and blue eyes; the fact that she's an anarchist also works in her favour.

Naaah, it's gotta be Velvet Velour or Jeanette.

VV loses some points for being named after a type of carpet, but makes up for it in the mod that adds originally-cut content - where she gived you a lapdance for completing her quest :D :p

I suggest Max Payne 2:
-Gritty modern day setting? Check.
-Humour? Check. [you rarely see this commented on, but it has some very clever gags - the whole police station level for example is one big joke :)]
-Voyeurism? Well, you can see Mona naked if that floats your boat...

There! You - oh man! - you're a vampire, are't you?

omg this thread makes me happy! I loooove this game so much so many happy memories. I loved the story and the little side quests, the amount of attention to detail was amazing! I could have made this thread myself. I still need to play as all the different races. Have yet to play as Nosferatu. I loved sneaking around the hospital and the apartments, reading all the e-mails and finding cool stuff.

There is no game like Bloodlines except E.Y.E. What I like to do is play the game with new people who haven't seen it. I listen to the soundtrack all the time too. I've not played it alone yet though so I'm gonna do that this week, should be fun. Play it eyefinity too haha.

Try The Cat Lady, it's nothing like Bloodlines but it's just an awesome game up there with it.

I'll try Vampire Masquerade: Redemption. I was always put off by the graphics.

Check out E.Y.E. The developers said Bloodlines and Bladerunner were there inspiration. It runs on the source engine too like Bloodlines.

Vampire Masquerade Redemption is way up there, in fact it may even be better then bloodlines. Some really good mods for it as well and I think it can be played online still with some work.

+1 for E.Y.E.

An fps/rpg title (my favourite genre) with a very surreal take on things / beautiful colours. I would love to see a game like that again with more of the same areas like the blanket lime green (but other colours) in metropolis / could be like individual levels as in Quake. Just a bit of a shame you can't turn the respawning enemies down even further. :)
