But then im old skool, brought up on 2D bitmaps on the C64, Amiga, Megadrive, SNES and 80s arcades

Same. WW's still my fave though. It amazing on the Wii U

Don't forget this first Mario Galaxy - it's amazing. Sin and Punishment 2 is superb. Little King's Story is so good it could be first party Nintendo. The list goes on and on.

I managed to get a copy of Pandora's Tower for £17.99, online is expensive for Wii jRPGs!

Xenoblade and the Last Story would be good to have but I missed them on release.

Forget Ebay, get it from here, it's the Australian version, but it's still PAL and will work perfectly and is a fair bit cheaper than anywhere else.

That video was made back in March, the Wii U has had a couple of updates which helped a fair bit with loading. My missus plays Lego City and she's not complained of the loading once!

The Kids love Lego city, I played it for a bit as well and yes loading can annoy but you soon get used to it

Got my collectors edition of zelda today, not impressed, some creases down the front and few corners bashed in, will be getting sent back tomorrow.

I'd do the same - completely pointless having it unless it's absolutely 100% mint.

Not bought any games since Disney Infinity! Had too many to work my way through - Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, AC3 and GoW3 in between playing DI with my lad and daughter.

However, on Christmas day, the stock of games to play through should include Mario, Rayman, Wind Waker, Lego Marvel and maybe AC4/3DS Zelda!

The Wii U is on, without fail, every day. Sometimes it's Mario Kart Wii or SSBB, sometimes LttP on the VC, frequently Disney Infinity. It's a very family centric console - even more now you can use the Gamepad for original Wii games.
