other than the 280x toxic what is best next to it for the price?

i think i have a plug from my current 7850 once i clear xmas ill invest in a new psu so will the adapters be fine for now, it wont damage the pc in any way?

You will get an adapter with the card. You can use the cable from the PSU for the other one.

Again, you do not need a new PSU! :p

I just checked the gigabyte 280x out it has a 8pin and 6pin
It you want to save some money, the Gigabyte 280x is not a bad choice.

The reason why the Sapphire 280x Toxic cost more is because it is one of the best 280x out there, and the also using two 8pin instead 1x6pin 1x8pin is not a bad thing...as it is for provide extra power to the card and allow higher overclock than almost all other cards.

Your existing PSU would do what you require fine.

WHEN you do actually NEED the extra power in the future (i.e. if you ever decide to go crossfire), ask again as there may already be new PSU range available by then, and the PSU suggestions we give you here and now might no longer be the best performance and value.
