+1 for Corsair 540.
Its a fantastic case for silly low price.
I am building a system in one now and I am amazed by all the options you get.
One '-' with it = remove those 3 stock fans asap or you will loose hearing :-)

The width of that case is 41cm which is a problem as my desk is only 40cm wide where the pc goes plus my knees would hit it, otherwise it would be a good choice. any less bulky cases that short?

The 300R looks good, but would be very close, might give it a try worse that would happen is to send it back,

Thanks for suggestions

p.s is there anywhere you can get the rubber things to go in the holes for cable managment?

How loud exactly are the fans? i currently have a CM Stormtrooper but im thinking of buying a Corsair 540, i was going to go for the Phantek but i just dont think i will bother with a full custom loop, so instead the Carbide 540 looks good and if i lob in a h100i i should be set for decent temps on my OC'd 2500k.

But ive heard a couple people mention the fans are a bit gash and loud? :( dont really want to have to weigh out an extra wad of dosh just to replace all the stock fans if they are that bad.

Well, I didn't even try using them, just on first sight they weren't solid.
I swapped them for Akasa Apache pwm's attached to fan controller and I can't hear a thing at mid speed' 700 rpm or so.
But so far most of stock fans in cases I had weren't perfect and I had themed builds anyway, so I always change stock fans. 540 is a great case and well worth adding that 15£ for some cheap silent fans.
