New Z77 board needed, I've got a good (5Ghz) 3770K and want to keep it...

Afternoon all, I'm trying to find a new Z77 board for a system I built for a friend, I don't want to go Z87 as the 3770K in the current board can run to 5Ghz under water, so it looks like a good one. I'm running 32Gb of RAM in there, and 2 Titans, all under water, which aren't clocking very well at the moment, even though temps hardly go above 45-50 degrees C, hence the reason for looking at a new board. I'm just wondering if the power delivery is stable to the cards with the current board. PSU is a Corsair AX1200 by the way.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer, much appreciated...

Budget wise, money isn't an issue, feature wise, at least 2 pcie 3 slots running at x16, and good power management for CPU and gpu. Some fan control would be good, I'm running 5 gentle typhoons on the 2 radiators, could do with some control over them! I'm also going to delid the 3770K, and redo the Titans with liquid metal TIM, although the temps aren't a problem, CPU is running at 80-85 max, and the Titans even cooler. Hope this helps...

Thanks, I had that issue when I was looking for the current board, which is a Gigabyte Z77 board with a bridge chip, can't remember the model at the moment, but it is running dual x16. I just think the power management on the board is a bit wobbly, I can't get the Titans stable with more than a 100Mhz overclock, even with the temps as low as they are...

ohh god how much?

I wouldn't use more then, lower your oc? games stress the cpu differently than stress testing with ivy, games just crash to desktop if not enough, faster clocked cards also affect it sometimes too

I personally don't like to go above 1.4v for air maybe 1.5v if on water

Best Z77 released.

You need to ask 8pack for suggestions to get the best from it as I know ive seen a video of him in Taiwan using it to break records.

Edit..just looked at a pic of the board, you have the two 8pin ATX filled and SATA connector filled from the PSU?

It's a P8Z77-V LE if memory serves, but I think you might have just answered my question stulid, the UP7 looks like a cracking board. If I have problems with power delivery on that, I'm doing something very, very wrong...

I can't remember the exact model of board, I think it was about £300ish back in March this year. I didn't put the full details down in the posts I made when I was building it. Trying to find out now...

It will say on the board on the PCB somewhere around the PCI slots if you cant find the box etc.
