Well nearly all (apart from my DVD-RW, SSD & HDD) of my original rig components have been sold. I was originally going to downsize to a laptop, but unfortunately I cannot find a decent spec one for gaming within a £900 budget. Therefore as crazy as it may sound but it seems more logical as I want to get back into my gaming, I have decided to go the full length and build a brand spanking new rig again!

Anyway, here is a draft idea of the components that I've currently got my eyes on. What do you guys think?? However, I'm not 100% sure if the graphics card, monitor CPU Cooler & the ram is the best for me to go for. Also bear is mind that £900 in reality is my budget so the £978 mark is over budget at the moment.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X WindForce 3X OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with BattleField 4 PC Game Included £251.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £185.99
1 x Asus VN247H 24"Widescreen Super Narrow Bezel LED Monitor - Black £169.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £109.99
1 x Corsair Carbide 300R Mid Tower Windowed Case - Black (CC-9011017-WW) £78.95
1 x Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £71.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLD38G2400HC11CDC01) £59.99
Total : £945.38 (includes shipping : £13.75).

As mentioned, the optical & storage drives I still have in my possession.

Many thanks :)

Its good, better than a kick in the teeth:)

Haha thanks mate, I've removed the other cooler out of my basket for the time being :)

What do you think about the rest of the components? Unfortunately I've been a bit out of touch with new hardware recently but I'm coming from what I used to have that is displayed in my sig.

Edit - PSU has been swapped for the Seasonic suggestion

Thanks - Liam

Depends as different manufacturers may have differing ways to measure stuff so perhaps those figures are not comparable, best thing Is to look at the reviews at sites like TFTcentral

I couldn't find a review of it on the TFTcentral forum unfortunately but I've just had a scan through of a couple of reviews else ware and it seems to be a really good monitor for the price and it's praised for gaming too. So I think I will stick to this one, unless someone else jumps in to recommend another one :p
