Hi i was involved in a car accident last week which took place at a cross junction controlled by a set of traffic lights. I was a passenger and the car was hit on the drivers side front wheel. The impact left me unconcious with severe head injuries and i slipped into a coma etc.

This all happened about 1:20am and was reported in the local news.

Both girls travelling in the other car are fine but im left with nerve damage. They were let out the following day and i spent a week in hospital.

Someone obviously had jumped the lights. I cannot remember a thing as I was not knocked unconsious and i woke up in hospital. :( Both drivers are saying they went through a green light and the Police are saying that there is no cameras and they can not prove who was at fault!

I am looking for CCTV of the incident and i came accross these cameras right next to the lights and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they are ANPR or CCTV?

The lampost marked "26" has two cameras on it:

Appologies for any grammer & spelling errors my head is not all here.
Thank You.

I don't think so, they use ANPR to track how long it takes a lot of cars to get from point to another - this is used to calculate the speed / traffic conditions on the road.

Hmm. Okie doke. Im going to council office on monday to verify the camera and if it recorded anything. I would imagined the police to have noticed it as they "investigated the scene for several hours", so im not holding my breath!
Wish me luck and thanks for the replies x

It is used for this, but not solely.

ANPR hardware will normally almost always be accompanied by IR illumination for night time/low light usage, those camera do not look like an ANPR installation.

OP - They look like deployable traffic survey equipment, we make and sell similar.

Speak to the council in the area and ask if their traffic planning or similar department has installed anything, or if a third party has done so for them.

edit - beaten! Hope you get it sorted!
