Hey guys in the next couple of days i will order a new gaming build for battlefield 4.

I have fallen out of the loop on amd vs Intel and nvidia vs radeon but assume intel/nvidia build would be standard ?

I need basically all tower components(i have monitors etc)

Also for some reason no matter how much i hoover my pc is a magnet for dust so maybe a case with built in dust filters would be a good idea ?

I would be greatful for any input :) thanks

if its mainly for bf4 you might see some AMD builds incoming :)
you might want see how they compare in other games you like to tho

Ah really ? That's fine :) other games i play are dota2 and eve online :)

Also i forgot to mention, no water cooling heatsinks please :)

wow pretty nice build with bf4 included
personally id go nas or sshd as my 2nd drive but i wouldnt be in budget :(

Thanks mate looks good, are seasonic psu's good? Seen a few posts about them failing recently and they are a new brand to me ?

I'd replace the cooler above - it's not really up to an overclocked 8320. There are a few around £25-£30 that are good for 4.5-4.8GHz.

Seasonic PSUs are brilliant, yep. Be Quiet too.

If you decide to go down the Intel route, these are the components that I purchased last night to make up my new rig. This was copied directly out of my thread and I've not included any storage or optical drives as I already have some in my possession. Also bear in mind this Gigabyte board comes with a free Prolimatech CPU cooler and the GPU comes with BF4 for free as well ;) If you include new storage & optical drives it will go over budget, but in my opinion it will be worth it!

Good advice if overclocking is your thang :D

Whatever you choose be sure to replace the stock cooler as it's louder than a loud thing

To be honest with you ill probably keep it stock and if i was to overclock it would be very small :)

WIth the amd build if i upgrade to the 8350 4ghz would i be ok with the 550w psu and would it be ok with motherboard etc etc?

thanks

So bought the spec i last linked and the parts came today, so just to be 100% sure, the 550w psu is enough? as i have been reading around and it seems that 600-650 is recommended for the gfx card?

ok thanks! i looked on the manufactures website and it states 750w! i know thats overboard but made me worried haha :).

They state that usually so that people don't try that gfx card with a low end psu that won't support the amps on the +12v rails. You can't go wrong with a Seasonic :)
