Just made the switch to 1155 and bought a Aqua Computor cuplex PRO to replace my D-Tek Fuzion which I was using.

My Question is, do i need to buy a separate back plate as the new block doesn't come with one?

I got a back plate with the D-Tek and just assumed the Cuplex would come with one but all it came with are the m4 bolts and springs....

It seems from the ocuk product pictures that it doesn't come with one.

Try with the current backplate but if that doesn't work then you may need to purchase the backplate separately

Seems stupid that they wouldn't supply you one with the block, extortionate to me tbh.

I think this is the one you need

Yeah, I think your right. The D-Tek backplate is ancient and is 775 only so noy joy there. To make matters even more interesting they say in the product title g1/4 but now having seen it its way smaller, g1/8 by the looks of it...

Defo going back now. No PC for me for a few days :(

Backplates are just a nice to have for most CPU blocks.

I can't see how I'd fit the block without one. The bolts and nuts would have anything to tension onto behind. Might just be being a bit think with it though.

Just use a stock cooler for a bit if you have it?

Also with ocuk you have free shipping which is DPD next day

If you order a block tonight it should be with you tuesday

Bought a 2500k off MM so no cooler. Got to love the free next day dpd :)
