Hello all well after wanting KitKat I now have it and I'm not impressed.

How can I go back to 4.3 on my nexus 7?

I think Google have lost their mind with the email app! No attachments and no links! What are they on???

This is the basics of an email app! Google if you read this understand you have turned an apple convert back to apple!

What a joke!

Yeh, I'm seriously underwhelmed with KitKrap too as well.

I use the excellent Wug Nexus Root toolkit for downloading and installing back to stock as well as other things.

Same here. Downloaded last night on my Nexus 7, then had 30mins scratching my head wondering why I could no longer see links in emails. (thought it must be a hidden setting now)

Not impressed. Plus Chrome locked up twice in the space of a couple of hours..

Maybe it's me but it seems the way the whole software industry now operates. Ship it now and finish it later with the updates.

Strange that links are not showing up, a friend sent me a link earlier and it worked fine.

Checked a few emails with hyperlinks in and they work fine to.

What sort of links are not showing for you?

Too many career programmers doing it as a job (and/or how projects are now managed) and too few people doing it for a love of programming, etc. they get their code upto the bare minimum spec with a "that will do" attitude when its mostly working :( no pride anymore in polished, efficent code.

None of the subscribed threads from OCUk, show as links, just text now, Friend sent me an email with a link to Flebay, and that worked OK.

IE11 on windows 7, is also a crock. The amount of pages that no longer display correctly is unreal.

As above the links on emails from forums do not work and if someone send you say a picture from an iPhone it's just a black email unless you use gmail!

They clearly want to force is into using the gmail email address.

All I can see different other than messing up the email app the top icons are white and there's a slightly different font! Wow!

I've started to get issues with my back button not working and earlier it just ignored all my inputs! Worked perfectly before the update!

So is the nexus root kit you mentioned east to use?

It does sound very odd.

Is there a reason you wouldn't just install a different e-mail client? K9 Mail for example?

I know it doesn't fix the issue, but is a very simple work around?

What the hell is wrong with Google recently ..

Shutdown of iGoogle
Removing Android Adblock from the play store
Forcing YouTube users onto Google+
The imminent banning of Chrome loading external extentions (Probably also includes the ban of Ad blockers on Chrome)

Seems to me they're trying their hardest to commit corporate suicide.

Removing Android Adblock from the play store

Surely you can understand this one though?

For one, that's where a lot of their income comes from. I prefer this to them charging for things.

Secondly, if Devs see they can't make much money on Android, why would they program on it?

People who have used an ad blocker will have a monumental hissy fit if Google take them away like it's rumoured to be happening on Chrome in early 2014.

It'll be interesting to see if they also block the loading of external apps on Android just to stop people loading Ad Blockers then claiming "it's to protect users from Malware".
