No different to Uno on the 360 though. The levels of wrongness I have witnessed on that.

Just isn't such thing as a "safe" online place for kids.

I think if parental controls are not added, it will get canned eventually.
 
Game still haven't called me. I'm going to lose my PS4 pre order thanks to their incompetence. They tried to take money, for some reason, it failed. Money was deffo there. Order was cancelled.

What would you do about it? It is completely impossible to phone them.

No, parents need to wise up to what these devices are capable of doing. That's all there is to it, really. Adults are smart enough to know what they should and shouldn't do, broadcast or choose to watch online. Parents can't rely on "controls" applied by some third party to stop their kids from doing inappropriate stuff online.

Sorry but this is a very old fashioned point of view my niece is 11 and is expected to be on the net all her friends have skype and they talk and do homework together via skype or messenger. To not have this access it to be separated from her peers it just is like that. :o

To expect her mother to stand over her the whole time while she is using these devices is just plain silly.

Now if the PS4 is making it easy for children to stream themselves playing in their room this is a worry.

I'm sure the PS4 has parental controls built in would be very surprised if it hasn't.

Yes indeed. But apparently it's "old-fashioned" for parents to understand what that device can do, so no need to worry about it...?

Sure. But relying on switching these on and hoping for the best is pretty minimal effort at parenting. Educating children as to why they shouldn't stream themselves to random strangers on the internet is surely a better solution.

Or is it active parenting in general which you think is "old-fashioned"?

No idea how that relates to the XBO but it's a complete rip off. The sad thing is I can see both companies continuing to charge extortionate prices when consoles do eventually go all digital :(

I'm getting it from Amazon for £40.

Not only that, but when BF5 comes out it'll be trade-in for £10 back to Amazon so really it's less than half price! :eek:

/agree, i purposely didn't buy any next gen games for my ps3 as to not spoil the experience for me. Im not getting an exclusive title until Drive Club so i really am dying to play AC4 and BF4 now :D

So excited for my PS4 going down to game stop around 12:45-1:00 AM so i dont have to queue for to long to grab it :D

Yay! Sorted. They finally phoned me and sorted it all out. Roll on Friday!!!
 
My Amazon order still doesn't have a date, so I've created a John Lewis account and am going to attempt to buy one from them when the clock strikes 12:00am Friday :p
